I officially got into anime and manga in 07, and I am loving all the awesome series such as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Eureka Seven. I guess I should thank Naruto for getting me into anime/manga, but I don't really like that series much now. I'm into comedy and mecha, but manga-exclusively slice of life/comedy blends.
Oh, I'm also into video games. One of my favorite series is Metroid. Metroid Prime is my all-time favorite game. Some of my current favorites are Half-Life and Team Fortress 2, along with Final Fantasy VIII, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, and Tales of Eternia.
Oh, and just so everyone knows, Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist is awesome. And uh, my rating scale for anime series and movies are different, so I only hand out 10's to movies. That doesn't mean they're better than certain series.
I don't put down movies into my favorite anime, so here are my top five anime movies:
Princess Mononoke (9.9/10)
Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love (9.8/10)
Castle in the Sky: Laputa (9.8/10
Akira (9.7/10)
The Sky Crawlers (9.6/10)
Top five mecha anime:
Eureka Seven (9.8/10)
Rahxephon (9.8/10)
Super Dimension Fortress Macross (9.7/10)
The Vision of Escaflowne (9.7/10)
Big O (9.6/10)

Cool, woulda liked to have seen it, heh.
I'm pretty much just watching older shows these days because there's so much to miss out on if you only watch current stuff. I've been on a mecha high this past month and a half, watching and reading stuff like Getter Robo, the Mobile Suit Gundam compilation trilogy, Armored Trooper VOTOMS, etc. Because of the sci-fi theme I even started on Legend of the Galactic Heroes which, believe it or not, is actually pretty damn good.

What, for school or something? And don't sweat it, dude, life takes priority over MAL.

Ooooh ;) Damn, the manga's long as hell :0 The anime doesn't seem like it's that many volumes worth.
Hmm, maybe ;) Most mangakas make several mangas instead of just one or two xD
Like Hakusho's mangaka. He made both Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter, which are both pretty famous, y'know?
And the Death Note dude also's got Bakuman (well, he did the art...).
I wouldn't doubt it if the author comes out with anything else ;D
Level-E is another good one by Hakusho's creator xD

Oh yea? Hakusho is the shit... but I don't know how many manga volumes there are, so it might be hard to collect all of them xD I mean, the Bleach manga in America is about up to the Grimmjow fight/Fake Karakura Town arc (God they're slow... slower than the anime in America, even), and since that's like, what, 40 volumes... I'm willing to bet Hakusho is somewhere in the 30s <.<;
Why, what's so great about this FMA volume? :000 I need the new Dogs: Bullets & Carnage volume TT-TT IDK when it comes out, though.

Unfortunately, I can't say it really changed my opinion on girls.
But I has 3 episodes left to go. Ironically, one of the next things I'll be watching soon is Robotech, so it'll be bizarre watching the Macross saga for that.

Ahhh I never read the manga. I want to so bad, though. I found volume 2 at Barnes & Nobles, but I NEVER buy volumes out of order (it's a curse). I hear the anime messes up the story towards the end, but the anime is still DAMN cool.
IMO, the first arc (the Spirit Detective Arc) is very boring. The second arc, The Dark Tournament, and the third arc, Chapter Black, are damn cool... DAMN cool. Especially the end of the Dark Tournament arc...
And in Chapter Black, Yusuke has to fight humans for the first time, and he's scared to because he never killed a human and doesn't want to, so it's really interesting ;D Hakusho is effing awesome.

DUUUUDE SOUNDS RAD xDDDDD I wanna get into water colors, but I'm terrible with painting... You gotta hit up deviantart, Bro!!! I wanna see your stuff!!
Alan Wake is fuckin' sick! I haven't played it, but my friend is hardcore obsessed with it. I went to his house and he showed me what's up with it ;D Pretty creepy! Almost has a Shattered Memories feel, huh?
Money is the best gift ;D
LOL then go buy volume 27! xDD Ever read Psyren? It's a newer shounen manga (to America... it's from like, 2008 in Japan) that's kinda like Yu Yu Hakusho. I just bought volume 2, which recently came out. Pretty interesting ;)

I'm starting to see why someone likes Macross. I'm four episodes in to it, but Zeus almighty, it's fantastic thus far.
