Hmmm... I think it's a little of both. I get a boost when listening to "Friends" by Stephanie because of her voice, the instrumentals, and in context to what was happening in Gundam 00 when it was airing.
I know from experience that it's really hard to produce the sound you want. My tracks are worse than BECK's if you haven't heard my recordings yet. :P I have respect for anyone who dares to make music.

I was marathoning it when it first came out on fansubs but I didn't like the music at all. This was back before I started playing any instruments or singing/writing/recording/producing my own songs though. Now I can kinda relate to them...

What I lack in artistic talent I make up with brute force. :D
I like to showcase and complement the original artwork. The person who picked out the image liked it for some reason, so I prefer to "tread lightly" and leave as much of it alone.
Hehe I use the same set of fonts and the rounded rectangle shape as my signature. But the base image has the final say on what I can do with the text. :P
