I hear people go to heaven when they die. But I don't think that's true. I'm sure the dead moves on to someone's heart. They continue to live on as memories. But even those memories will eventually disappear. That's why people want to leave something behind. So that they're never forgotten. So that we wont ever forget. - Kirishima Kaito (Ano Natsu de Matteru)
A Little About Me
Age - 15 Residence - Oklahoma Language - English, I took a year of Spanish, does that count?, working on Japanese, and Binary Personality - Self-conscious. That's really the only trait I'm sure enough about to say about my self. My friends I'm funny, unintentionally mean, goofy, and awkward occasionally. Sarcastic. That's one I'm sure about. Is that a personality trait? Occupation - Student What Has Brought Me Here - I started off with Naruto (like most) at about 9 maybe 10, when my friend showed me it. I would watch it with him overnight every week on Toonami for about a year. Watching a couple of the others that came on like Bobobo bo bobobo. I watched for about a year and a half before I stopped. Why I stopped I don't know. Maybe it stopped airing. Still not sure. So sometime around October of 2011 something sparked in me. I was having memories of Naruto. So I took to looking it up on Google, and found it. I finished all of Naruto in maybe 4 weeks time. I was in the closet about that entire time also. So when I figured out that it was called "Anime" I looked it up. Found AnimeFreak.com, and searched up a guilty pleasure that I was embarrassed about. Romance. I had a thing for romance. I just really love it. Following another guilty pleasure I looked for a decent looking 18+ anime. I decided to watch... just take a stab at it! Out of all the romance anime available I choose....
School Days
Worst and best decision of my life! And so I closeted for about another 3 months about watching anime. Until a found a friend, who had traveled all the way from Washington, who shared my interest. And now, I am how I am. And also have a new goal. TO WATCH EVERY ROMANCE ANIME EVER! First Anime - Naruto (like most my age) First Non-Mainstream - Bobobo Bo Bobobo (I think that's right?, never laughed so hard as a kid) First Subbed - School Days...

4th - Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto - If you've read the rest of my profile, you probably saw this coming. What can I say, he is extremely likable. He's strong, dependable-ish, stubborn, not the brightest, determined, and one-track minded. What more could I ask for? :D

His Album is so Awesome! This music is so good and his lyrics are amazing. Most People who watch animes are not that kind of people who listen to rap. By the way Can't hold us is really good too! :O Rap and Electronic music <3!
My background is Yomi from Ga-Rei-Zero if you were wondering.
I rate most ecchi anime is rather low because while I don't mind fan service in moderation I actually do prefer story and characters.
Shounen like Naruto, One Piece, and etc. I rated low because of weak characters and overly cliched plots and I thought they were more then deserving of what I gave them. In any case I don't think they deserve a 10, whether you enjoy them or not.
Also, 26 episodes is more then enough for me to form an opinion of a show and that's pretty generous considering it takes me 1-4 episodes max to tell whether I'll like it or not. Watching half is pretty ridiculous considering a lot of these shows run 300+ episodes, 500+ in the case of One Piece and I'm not about to watch 250 episodes of something I don't find entertaining in the least. So I'm a little curious as to why you think my drop list is stupid.
I really recommend pretty much anything that's not Shounen or ecchi because judging from your list you have those covered.
Yeah, death note has nothing to offer in that way however it is pretty well written and clever, well at least in the first arc. 50 episodes? Wow. It will be so strange when Naruto is over, it's one of the first anime I ever watched and the fact that it is so close to climax... wow. Looking forward to seeing Naruto and Sasukes fight, there is no other way to really end it.
Ouch, I've never broken a bone in my body so I can only imagine how much it hurts. I'm a big fan of Eureka Seven actually, the plot is a bit confusing but the characters and their relationships shine through. I need to watch more Gintama, I really do. The battles in Naruto are starting to get off the ground, the war is really starting now, I hope they do end it after this arc. I feel that they can't top this in scale and the battles would probably end up being more "who can make the biggest blast" than they already are. My favourite thing about part 1 was the fact that unlike most shonen series the battles had structure and strategy. Recently I've been trying to complete Bleach, but it just can't reach the high standards of the first arc, I've also been reading the deathnote manga which is quite enjoyable too.
Thank you for responding, admitting you did something wrong shows a lot of maturity. No one likes doing it. Rating by enjoyability is fine by me, although I've always been one to analyse films and TV shows and rate them according to the factors of Character, Story, Animation and Music. It's something I'm still working on, I make misjudgments sometimes and can be (not so much anyway) swayed by the enjoyment of the show. Anyhow, how have you been? Watched anything good recently?
Hahaha I saw your comment about my list and fair enough, we disagree, but I thought I'd justify a few things. I'm doing it here just so you see it.
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - I'm not saying she needs more sex appeal, all I said is despite her large assets the camera doesn't focus them on as much as most other ARMS shows. I haven't formulated too much of an opinion is was a short first thoughts. I know people think demons are bad, but if the first demon on screen is the wonderfully bubbly girl I have no real reason to be surprised, it really isn't playing with pre-conceptions that well at all.
Naruto Shippuuden - Naruto really isn't great, I don't mind if you like it, in fact I'm quite the fan of the original manga however a mediocre soundtrack and terrible pacing cannot be ignored, the animation isn't more than mediocre either. But you cannot excuse the fillers at all, they do count. They are part of the show too. The characters also only have one defining trait and don't develop much, the fights devolved into nothing but who can make the largest magical blast rather than any intelligent form.
Angel Beats - I get that it is a comedy, a slightly unrefined one at that but it is also a serious show that wants me to care about the characters. The fact that the characters jump from silly and bouncy to serious and quiet is tonally in inconstant, the characters don't feel like that same people in the 2 separate styles, that is bad characterization is it not? Not to mention the archaicly formulaic character development sessions. Step 1 introduce new character. Step 2 "here is my generic backstory, even though you have no reason to care about me" Step 3 The character disappears, repeat step one. That, my friend, is bad story telling.
Baka to Test - It's not the style of comedy I dislike, it's the lack of effort in the show, the animation, characters, music and story were forgettable and bland. The comedy itself holds up terribly as most of the jokes are either stock or repeated until you are beyond sick of it.
Chuunibyou - Having a large vocabulary and trying to hard aren't really the same thing, it took me a few seconds to write that description off the top of my head. No need for personal attacks. My problem with it is that the drama moment juxtapose with the comedy moments in a bad way, when the characters are being serious it's sometimes quite out of their normal character and you think AH development, only for them to go back to normal the next episode. That also being the ending really irritated me too.
The Clannads - Firstly, the aforementioned childish insulting is not cool, you need to be calm when arguing with someone otherwise you will look immature and ignorant. Anyhow, I have some justifying to do... right? I know how well acclaimed and loved these series are, which is part of why I dislike well... disliking them. Don't get me wrong, neither of them are bad (Although S1 gets worryingly close at time) but they are heavily flawed, more so season 1. So the characters; The mains are all okay, they consist of a few notable characteristics (good start) but they don't really develop at all in the first season. Each arc introduced a new girl who, never got enough development or had an interesting concept (which most of them had) in an uninteresting and unappealing way. This is in part to the lackluster score of both soundtracks and the lack of emotion that is really expressed with the animation, it ever shows no emotion or goes over the top ruining all subtitles that could have been present in the scenes. The comedy, at points, I really enjoyed, Nagisas family were roaring run to watch yet still stayed consistent when they did become serious. Another big problem I have (This is much more with after story) was how I just wasn't convinced by Nagisa and Tomoyas relationship, Tomoya was always an asshole, he admitted it, yet his reasons for liking her were consistently unclear. He never even claimed it true love or love it first sight, you just have to believe the romance they never build up is developed. I mean by the end of S1 sure they are together, but they really aren't all that developed in a relationship from the first few episodes. The whole of S1 was an over dramatic, poorly written high school romp. After stumbling for a few episodes AS tried to be different, now before I go any further it's hard to talk about AS in much detail without the spoilers so I'll just wack in the spoilers tab here.
So Nagisas death, that definitely worked in my books, very emotional, well done few episodes, the inevitability of it, that fact everyone KNEW it was going to happen made the actual even all the more tragic. However the pacing around that part was up and down, the show will have a few episodes with masses of plot development and others with little to none. Now, Ushio... I could not STAND Ushios arc. It embodies lazy, exploitation writing. We learn nothing about Ushio other than the fact he is a child and is Tomoyas, the character doesn't even let us get to know them, yes I get Tomoyas chance in attitude here so don't try it, and when Ushio dies I have no connection to the character, it flew by me. I don't know this child, you gave me no reason to, why SHOULD I care. Finally the going back to when Nagisa starting school part was utter bullshit and you know it.
Well now that's over. Time to zoom through the last few shows.
Higurashi no Eden - Liked the show, some character were undeveloped, the score was forgettable and the ending was bad. Other than that. Thumbs up mostly.
Highschool of the Dead - Why DID I give that a 6? +1 Point to you for that one.
Naruto - Some problems as Shippuuden, but did have much better fights at the start.
SAO - The second arc had awfully one note characters and Kirito was still a mary-sue, also the environments in both games were generic and boring to look at.
Kokoro Connect - The character development was too forced and the plot has more holes than a colander. The ending OVAs may fix that *crosses fingers* Production values were meh.
Gintama - All I said was from what I've seen it wasn't that funny, however I went on to say I was going to give it a chance. I still quite liked it.
One Piece - Had a few wonky arcs but it is great fun to watch so I'm not gunna stop.
ef - A Tale of Melodies - You are the only person who I have ever heard say Melodies was better, I thought Memories bit have some strong points.
FMP! Fumuffo - I quite like the look of it, the slapstick would have worked much better in the original without the military stuff (and visa versa) so I'm looking forward to it.
Hayate no Gotoku - Fair enough XD I read the first chapter of the manga and thought it seemed decent enough to watch.
Naruto Shippuuden Movies - Well I might as well watch them because I'm quite OCD about watching all things from a series.
Shakugan no Shana - I heard a few of the songs from the soundtrack and that's what interested me in this one.
Shuffle! - I've heard so much of a mixed opinion about this it made me really curious.
And so, I'm done. Feel free to respond to this, but try not to be insulting over difference in opinion. I just felt it appropriate to expand on my short little thoughts sections and a number. I had a look to see what we agreed on, and there are 3 things. Eureka Seven, Spice and Wolf and Mars of Destruction. That made me chuckle so I thought I'd share it. But seriously, I'm sure you are a nice person so don't get too angry in comments and just enjoy yourself.
Thanks for reading, if you managed to get through it.
Gloom.
