hey!! thanks for the anthology PM...i'll DL it when i'm home...not sure when the deadline for release will be...i've only gotten 4 files so far, so it will prob wait for a bit. thank you very much though! look forward to hearing it! :)
greetings! happy x-mas/new year and sorry for the late reply....thanks for the link! i will definitely be looking forward to the documentary - a lot of my favorite bands + i noticed there's an interview with spacemen 3's sonic boom (my band and i got to meet him while playing a space rock festival down in texas in the mid-nineties and subsequently i released my solo album on his label and got to play a few more shows with his project E.A.R. - awesome to see him getting some much-deserved recognition...spacemen 3 was a huge influence on me musically)........hopefully this won't take an eternity to come out! -octal
p.s. - noticed you recently saw mardock scramble - what did you think? i found it to be one of the most mind-blowing anime films both visually + story-wise (sort of a ghost in the shell type vibe or psycho-pass (one of the best by far this season - both disturbing and beautiful)....if you get a chance check out the second one (i enjoyed it even more than the first...unlike most people who've viewed it - can't wait to get my hands on the third one!
greetings! sorry for the lateness of my reply, but i'm experiencing hardcore lack of motivation due to too much work and too much rain (northwest has nine months of this per year and i'll never get used to it)....as far as saraiya goyou, i've currently read through volume 7 and have actually been checking it out from the local library (haven't been able to find it anywhere online).......great story and art - i'm totally in love with ono-san's works - her understated art and deep emotional stories are enthralling (although i'm no a huge fan of the yaoi stuff....hard for me to get into for some reason)....the anime version is one of my favorites as well, although they left out quite a bit of the story/characters...also notice ono-san's latest work is another set in samurai-era japan, but haven't found any translations as of yet.....let's hope someday soon! hope this finds you well.......bye for now...........
happy late birthday! hope you didn't get eaten by ghosts or bothered by yokai.....if you get a chance, check out some gegege no kitaro (skaro trading society just subbed episode 1 of the 1971 version - awesome!): http://skarohuntingsociety.blogspot.com/2012/10/gegege-no-kitaro-1971-episode-01.html
....many blessings + happiness...............
That's the same type of thinking I have. I tell others that birthdays are good until maybe the early 20s, which is when it starts becoming more of a reminder about getting older and having one less year to enjoy your youth.
thanks for the birthday wishes......also noticed yr. plan to watch deer of nine colors - found it on youtube and was pleasantly surprised! sort of an animated version of chinese ancient paintings with story - good stuff! my favorites so far this season: psycho-pass, jormungand, sukitte ii na yo., and chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai! as always trying to watch too much at once.....also, if you get a chance, check out joshiraku (one of the first comedies to make me laugh that hard in a while - very under-rated).....music-wise been getting into the serious fall darkness here in the northwest which equals dark music........lots of joy division, bauhaus, darkthrone, siouxsie and the banshees, etc. - stuff i listened to in my earlier days which always sounds so right this time of year! hope things are well for you and later for now...........
