From 1999 to 2007 I produced game shows for anime conventions across North America. It started with Anime Match Game (I was first!) at Project A-Kon in Dallas in '99 and as I began to develop a rapport with conventions, guests and fans I branched out to what would eventually be eighteen different game show formats and a total of thirty-five conventions in about a dozen different cities from San Jose to Pittsburgh.

I stopped doing cons last year after deciding that my brand of programming didn't have legs. I had a somewhat working relationship with ADV Films and was actually working on an eventual deal to produce game shows for Anime Network, but that fell through (especially since their 24/7 network stopped in January of this year).
I have backed off of fandom and am now just concentrating on enjoying the anime itself. Shows from last year I enjoyed include Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai, ef - a tale of memories, Lucky Star, CLANNAD, Sketchbook ~full color's~ and Genshiken 2. I tend to favor school comedy/dramas and shows that surprise you. I am a lapsed Haruhiist anxiously awaiting the second season so that my faith in Haruhi can be rejuvenated.
I'm also a rabid video game collector and am constantly scouring eBay, Goozex and Cheap Ass Gamer for deals.
I run a small eBay store that sells Naruto cards and sell Magic, Warcraft and YuGiOh cards on Cardshark.

Our ratings do end up pretty close. But then our tastes seem to be fairly similar overall so I suppose it shouldn't be all the much of a surprise.
Going through ANN's encyclopedia (that's one thing I don't like about the site here- as far as I can tell, you can't get it to just list all the anime in the database so you can look through and find the ones that you've watched...) and entering in everything I've seen over the last decade and a half has been a great way to kill time at an otherwise extremely dull day at work. :P
