One day when I was very little and getting dressed to go somewhere with my parents, a feature length cartoon came on the TV. It had a strange name and dealt with issues an I'd never seen an animated feature touch on before... I was entranced.
I found myself stopping constantly sitting halfway putting on a sock or the like, my reverie only broken by the occasional shout from downstairs to hurry up. My parents can't have been in that much of a rush as in the end I was able to watch the whole thing.

The thing that had kept me so enthralled, was a film called 'Laputa' by the ever talented Hayao Miyazaki. From there I began my journey into the world of anime and I've been here ever since =3

While I initially watched Dubs back in the day because it was all you could get (tapes didn't have dual audio ;D ) I found myself happily switching over to Subs when I discovered them on the internet when I joined university. I don't have anything against Dubs personally so I'm not the type to scream at people who still watch them that way but I avoid them myself as the voice actors tend to be poop and sometimes they change the context of things. It's weird but when I look back over stuff I've watched as subs I never remember reading anything; instead I seem to remember the japanese voices speaking english. Weird huh? =p
