In a "slice of life" this should be in mind and Hyouka does it rightly. Not everything goes all bad, but some stuff do.
If you enjoy black and white misteries and relations, oh, boy, this not for you. This is gray, as Oreki's gray world.
While with great characters and really clever and complicated history arcs, this show delivers a dose of everything that it should. It's not a nice and easy anime, it's not for everyone. That might be good or might be bad, I'm not saying that the people who think - after watched Hyouka - and had felt it's for them are better than anyone else.
It's just that not everyone identifies themselves with Oreki nor everyone has a friend like Satochi. I was caught by this show right in the first minutes, the Oreki's speech says it all and if it catches you too, go ahead.
This might be some great piece for you or perhaps a masterpiece as it is for me. read more
