The medium of anime was always my enjoyment, my imagination, and my relic.
Whenever someone asked me which do i prefer; fiction or non-fiction, my answer was always fiction. The limitless scenarios, universes, instances, lives, and realms that can be conjured in someones mind amazed me. With fiction, you can portray those unique entities and make them real, tangible, and share it with the world. This is why i love anime so much. Among all the avenues one can portray their imagination, anime caught my attention the most. It has this effect on me that i really cant put into words. Its just cool. This became apparent when i compare it to western cartoons. In my eyes, anime is true expression.
I have watched anime since i was a child. The first anime i ever watched was either Pokemon, Dragon Ball, or YuYu hakusho. The specifics is kind of hazy since back then I just assumed these awesome animated pieces of art were mere cartoons. That misconception haunts me to this day. Anyways, i have watched anime for a long time. Cartoon Network and Toonami was what exposed me to this medium. I vividly remember rushing to get my homework done to watch the new episode of DBZ at 6:00pm or being woken up in the middle of the night to one of the pleasant ending themes to Inyuasha at 5:00 am. I never had such emotion for something like this in my life. It was something new, and unique compared to the other things in my life. It was kind of like an escape from the mundane reality that I resided in. Once i knew what the medium actually was, I sought it out. Throughout my life, i gradually began expanding my anime pallet to new shows. I started out with shonens like DBZ then eventually stumbling on anime like Mushi-shi and Ghost in the shell.
As for my reasoning for being here, i made this account to simply keep track of the anime i have completed over the years. I previously had an excel spreadsheet to keep track, but that wasn't doing it anymore. Anyways, during my time here, it has became something more then just a fancy way of being organized. I found my interest in writing reviews for anime. I found a hidden talent of graphic design which by the way; everything on my profile was made by me. An who could leave out the fun i have on the general anime discussion boards. I am here to stay, and hope what i offer to MAL will be appreciated.
The way i grade my reviews on MAL is through their own score system. Story, animation, sound, characters, and enjoyment. I try my hardest to separate my enjoyment of a series with the other entities of the show. I grade these entities through a scale of 1-10 using intervals of 0.25 to be more precise. My general feelings, and guidelines for my scores are listed below.
10/10: The epitome of perfection. Every aspect of the show was beautifully executed and managed to change my entire outlook on the medium as a whole. Additional entities such as replay value, originality, and unique series design all plays a part in an anime receiving this score. These anime are the best of the best.

9/9.95: The anime that receives this score are the best in their respective genre. Not only did they manged to do almost perfect in all 5 categories, but went above and beyond to make themselves enjoyable to watch. Certain aspects of the show were just shy of perfection, and i mean shy.

8/8.95: The anime that falls under this bracket are great anime. They hit all of the marks for being a 9, and can even be compared to them quite easily. Some of these anime might even have a more compelling aspect of itself compared to 9's, but fell off in a category or messed up a crucial part of the show. The bulk of the more favorable anime out there will fall under here, and holds the majority of my favorite anime.

7/7.95: When i give an anime this rating, it is mostly due to the fact these shows are very good, but weren't executed as well as it could of had been. Whether it be the story, or the characters, something just could of been done a little better. In addition, there are certain instances where an anime had promise, but just suddenly stops without a proper conclusion. Some shows do this to promote their manga, but that hinders the anime adaptation heavily. Anyways, these anime, as a whole, are a good watch, and are memorable enough to warrant it's placement.

6/6.95: The anime that receive this score were a good watch but that's kind of it. Show like these usually have one or two redeeming qualities that would make viewers continuing watching it, but once its over, its over. You will probably forget what happened in these anime in a couple of day after completion. Anime that also didn't deliver a promising story, or lagged behind in all categories will receive this score. They're fair enough to watch if you have nothing else to do at the moment.

5 and below: These anime i feel are the shows that compared to others in their genre, are crummy clones of a good series, or failed attempts of something that could of been good. Anime that receive a 5 are watchable but you'll be disappointed with the overall outcome of the show once it over. Anything below that isn't worth the time in my opinion.

It is the most disappointing cast ever produced by key.
Your profile looks better than mine, at least. I love how you included an intro on why you like anime as a whole. I especially liked the phrase "anime is expression." Although there are plenty of bad anime out there that could ruin your outlook on anime, for the most part I definitely agree.
I haven't taken a look at your reviews yet but I can tell you really analyze the work before reviewing it. It sure beats reviews that are just five short and separate paragraphs that are bland and poorly written.
Also liking the Familiar Possessed Dharc pic!
sounds like im aiming pretty high but if you think of anything thanks :D
