Welcome to the Lair
Hello my name is Yume, I've been into anime for about three years now, lately I've been watching it a lot more though. Mt favorite genres are sci-fi,slice of life, mystery/crime, and action/adventure. But I do like all kinds, I just tend to gravitate to those first.
Haven't read much manga yet but I'm into mystery/crime and horror mostly so far, I do plan on buying more soon. I don't mind reading it online but you just can't beat laying down on your bed getting into a good manga.
I have an anime/manga graphics site on neopets (link above) knows as Otaku Works, its one of the top graphics site on neopets. Even if you don't have a neopets account, you can still use the icons and banners I provide. I opened the site up January 1st 09 but I've been making graphics longer than that, almost two years now. My specialty is still coding though.

I actually opted for long series first XD I've watched quite a few 100+ episode series that I didn't finish. Currently I'm still on my long series. I do watch short series in between though just so I don't get overly bored by watching a long series all the time.
Never really heard of H2O but from the art provided in the database it just seems like another shoujo oriented series that seems pretty typical. I can't say I'll add it to the list because I have way too many series I have to finish first ^^;;

I'm actually putting them on hold. Both are kind of slow moving at current point in time I'll put them off later. Now what I want to finish first was watching Dragon Ball ^_^;; Yeah I know it's old anime with tons of episodes, but I can't really say I've completed watching them if I've only seen episode here and there XD
I have a lot of series I'm watching... but I think after DB I'll opt for a few shorter series (or as Rachael would call it, long series for her XD)

Yeah, that makes sense... I read a lot faster than I watch as well. It takes too long to watch things. For that reason I haven't really started any new series in a while. I am able to get a lot of anime from the library, though, so I stick with those DVDs instead. ;D
Oh, really? Well, I've only seen a few episodes of the anime, but the anime and the manga matched up pretty well from what I saw (and from what I have heard). So reading Death Note will kinda be a repeat of what you already saw (not that that's a bad thing, of course). xD

Oh, I see. Well, I'm sure you'll read the rest in no time. After a certain point, you will just have to read the rest of it to see how the arc ends, then you start the new arc and want to see that, etc. I know you'll catch up with it soon enough. ;D
Are you choosing not to watch anime because you read faster or are you just unable to watch anime for a while for some reason? o:
You haven't seen or read Death Note before? I find that kinda shocking... By now most people have, after all. xD
