I really appreciated you sharing your perspective on Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou as a young(ish) adult male. I love that show: the use of visuals is exceedingly clever and the jokes hit consistently, but more importantly I consider it incredibly unique as an anime, especially in the current landscape. How often do we get a show that's seriously just about boys being boys and all of the joy and pain and awkwardness that comes with adolescence?

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou is a show that accepts and embraces a lot of the things that come with being a male youth--things that weirdly seem to be culturally taboo topics. Weird especially considering how much anime is ostensibly targeted at young adolescent males, and yet in a lot of ways it feels like Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou may be "too real" for the people who are frightened of their own budding sexuality and would rather hide from reality and instead indulge some kind of escapist harem fantasy or whatever else kids are getting out of ecchi shows these days.

Incidentally, Onani Master Kurosawa is another series (manga) that operates sort of along the same axis--though it isn't really a comedy, it's mostly about the struggles of male adolescence and especially how puberty and the feelings and urges that come with it can be weird and awkward and emotionally painful.

Again this could be one of many cases where I look at a piece of media and see a minor facet as being more significant than it really is, but I feel like Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou as an anime really offers something unique (and it's visually clever and freaking funny to boot). Your review really hit on a big part of what I really appreciated about the show, which was its real commitment to faithfully portraying male adolescence.
