Also be sure to check out #qd on the Rizon IRC network for chat. We're happy to have you on board, and we're looking forward to seeing you contribute to QD.
Cool topic and thoughts on it by the way. I personally agree too, especially on the "suspension of disbelief" part for live actors. I'm also sending you an invite to a second club, because MAL bugs may not show you invites to the first. :)
Going great! It's not as much work as I had expected, which is good... not sleeping too much, but you can't have everything :P
For a while I had a phone app for MAL, but then it stopped working but i didn't realize it so yeah sorry abt the late response.
Also, hopped on board kinda late and got pokemon x a week or two ago... can't get internetz on the 3ds on campus tho due to security protocols and such :(
also, i'm watching kill la kill but it's not my favorite simulcast... i prefer nagi no asukara and beyond the boundary, which are both really good (pa works & kyoani <3) (:
to be fair, i thought of sailor moon's art as a novelty and i watched it back when i didn't have anything else to compare it to (as opposed to now, after watching so much 2013 art and animation). i don't think i would have been able to stand it either if i had watched code geass first, haha
ohh i started mawaru penguindrum! the anime club here shows one episode every saturday but i rarely go to showings... it's eccentric but good (and funny).
ugh do you live under a rock?! how can you not be watching attack on titan? HOW?
it seems like power rangers, yes, but the focus is quite unexpected and you should't go into it with any sort of expectations :p
i'm barely able to go at a pace of one episode per week. THE ART.
gah.
in other news, i just finished gatchaman crowds and shingeki no kyojin. highly recommend them both - gatchaman is quite hard to take in at first. it's bright and absurd and the main character acts like an idiot, but somehow, it evolves into something that's a masterpiece in my opinion.
mwahahaha
i have to warn you, i'm marathoning chihayafuru right now (it's absolutely amazing) and i don't think you'll beat me this summer >:)
want to race again? deadline is otakon
yes, :'( until january 2nd
i'm up for that, although I propose we postpone the starting point to after midterms... haha my grades are more important xD it's fine as long as we're still in the same ballpark by the start of february
hahaha it was a fun contest!
too bad this was rather anticlimactic - i had expected to lose badly because of these dang college apps >.<
(to answer your question, they are coming along rather poorly and i have a lot left to write)
I thought it was fair to just add a full rewatch for kaichou wa maid-sama, even though I stopped at 24/26, because I've also rewatched a lot of episodes from other shows, just not full series (aka first arc of SAO, last few of inu x boku ss, funny prince of tennis episodes, etc.)
