So I started K-ON a week ago +- and bam
6 episodes in a row and the second day the first season was over :)
Always a good sign
Love the series . I am watching the second season right now but I love the characters and setting. especially the interaction between
Yui and Ritsu. but great series.great interaction between the voice actors
Also.great for me personally because I also play the guitar (for about 14 years now) and I recognised a lot from Yui. I never learned notes so I have to figure everything out by myself + I have the same personality:)+ I love anime that focus on music!
If you like the band part of K-On you should watch BECK also , a great series with great music but a bit more serious then K-ON!
Hmm anything new and exciting, well I am looking forward to Despera and a second season of Seitokai No Ichizon
and a really small non existent chance of second season Panty and Stocking (but it will not happen)

both funny as hell and more
after K-ON it will be time for something darker

I dunno. Like I said I intend to finish all my on hold anime first before starting any new ones, which probably won't be anytime soon.
For this season so far I agree quite alot looks promising but nothing much stands out. Ikoku Meiro no Croisee will perhaps be the most unique one of the lot, with reasons I find hard to describe in words.
And looking at your plan to watch list, I strongly recommend AnoHana and Aria, followed by Angel Beats and Nichijou. These are really good anime in my opinion, especially the first 2. MM is good only if you like watching people getting enjoyment from torture.
However I suggest since you added Aria the Origination you're better off adding the Animation and the Natural as well. Origination is the 3rd season of Aria and it's better to watch this series from the start.

usually the anime that i watch are adaptions to manga, novels and visual novels that i know.. try the first chapter if you like it..
you can also stick to a genre like me... i like ecchi so ecchi genres are automatically added lol..
you can also read the synopsis and others review/opinion
