Looks like I'm making the right choice then. 30 bucks for both games + the DLC doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.
Well, I've been hearing all over the Net about how open-ended the answer arcs are. Not that I'm surprised, as it seems Umineko has an incomprehensible amount of content to conclude on a solid note. I'll take your word for it and wait to continue the manga after I've finished Episodes 1-8. Besides, the manga of of Umineko has finished publishing ,all except for Episode 8. The problem is that Episodes 1 & 2 are the only parts fully translated. It'll give me another reason to wait for more of it to be translated.
I've also noticed the voice acting of the VN is superb. Beatrice's in particular.Her over-the-top voice sounds great and fitting for her character.

I think my family is cursed or something lol. Getting shit-faced would probably make me do something that would cripple myself. Besides, we aren't like you Brits. We Americans gotta wait till the "golden age of 21" to get into a bar. Gonna be spending most of my financial aid money on a car and some video games. Definitely gonna be picking up Bioshock's Ultimate Rapture Edition. I can't believe I've never played either game after hearing so much hype about them. Now I feel stupid.
Episode 2 is definitely my favorite episode so far. Like you said, it's twisted logic vs. twisted logic. Really, I didn't expect this VN to be as great as people were saying. Now I'm getting really awkward boners when Beatrice laughs. I'm reading it along with the manga as well. The insane facial expressions that they give the characters in the manga are great.
I'll probably wait for the PS3 Patch of the Answer arcs. My sources estimate it'll be done in two months. I'm incredibly patient, so I can wait.

Anyway,I haven't been doing much lately. Started college in August of last year, and plan on becoming a paralegal. Not hard stuff, but it's a lot of work. It's also hella boring. People weren't kidding that you die of boredom in college.
Due to the loads of work I have, I usually spend my time reading manga. Thanks to a friend of mine, I managed to get into VN's when he gave me a download of Fate/Stay Night. I actually just finished Episode 2 of Umineko last week.
My brother and I have been trying to salvage the anime/manga forum of MvC. Sadly, not as easy as I thought it'd be. Having to deal with people who remind me of my old action self from all those years ago is incredibly difficult. Now I know how Haylias and Marly felt when they argued with me :(. But what can you do? It's MvC after all.

Sun-Ken Rock is a good start, there aren't that many chapters out and it's awesome.
You could always check my recommendations as well as my favorite manga list.
Or you could ask me about titles based on certain criteria you give me.
