Most people writing reviews on this anime watched two episodes, and they thought they got it all figured out.
All I'm saying is -- give it a chance. It's colorful, sure (duuh.. it's an anime.. not everything has to be dark and gloomy and serious just because it's a samurai story)
If you like some light-hearted comedy, it's a great story to watch during the summer. Also, I'm currently at episode 4, and it seems there might be a good old plot twist there. Suffice to say it was not an unexpected one, kind of predictable IMHO, but who cares?

Story: Set-up seems like a good avenger story, but still includes comedic relief
Artstyle: Fun, new, and it does fit the vibe. Also, there's blood, not a lot of it, but it's not all censored, at least
Characters: I like the contrast between the main guys, nothing we haven't seen before -- polar opposites in fact, but I like their synergy as a group, and they are all fun and an enjoyable bunch
