To be honest, I did enjoy this anime, then again, I'm also easy to please. But this was by no means a stellar anime.

The story was average. Simple Vampire story. The main character is looking for some kind of redemption through taking care of his little brother and, along the way, his past comes back to haunt him. Pretty simple stuff. There was some originality here and there, but over all, been there, done that.

Some of the character's were interesting. I personally liked Zelman Clock. I really would have liked to learn more about the three territory heads, but the story never goes into them ... too much. The main character was a little like they took Alucard from hellsing and Abel from Trinity Blood and jammed them together in some really weird mash up topped off with a wizards hat. The lead female was stale and had less character then the little boy. It was painful to watch her.

The story was just much too short to really let it go anywhere. The art and sound were average, like the rest of the show.

All and all, it's a good anime if you have nothing else to be watching or you are really REALLY into Vampire anime.

Most people have told me they find the idea of Toriko to be stupid. After first, I had my doubts. "How could a show about cooking have made its way up the latter in SJ?"

Oh boy, was I in for a ride.

The best thing about this show, it combines old style fighting anime with a twist. The daily fight to find something new and exciting to tempt your tastebuds! The idea is probably one of the most original ideas I have ever seen. The exaction is well done and absolutely hilarious as I find myself laughing and cheering at every turn.

Biggest issue seems to ... be the character designs. I'm sorry but, I adore them! I love the hideously eyesore like costumes and the ridiculous hair! My favorite character is Sunny and he's the most ridiculous of all! I think it as a fun edge to the show.

In fact, I love the whole cast! From the ever hungry and cheerful Toriko, the curious and skillful Komatsu, the kind and gentlemanly Coco, the determined Tina, the cute and loyal Terry, the outgoing and passionate Rin, and, of course, the Beauty freak with a straight forward, self-centered nature, Sunny!

Its seriously the most colorful (and I mean that both figuratively and literally) cast of characters I've come across.

What can I say? I thoroughly enjoy certainly made a fan out of me! I plan to keep watching!

I'll make this review short and simple, as the anime was just that.

I must say, I find myself surprised at how much I actually enjoyed this. I find that I enjoy objectively watching yaoi in attempts to find stories of romance that I enjoy. This one actually caught my attention.

Although I am strongly against what i call the 30 minute I love you, I did very much like the idea. A man forced to marry someone he doesn't love, only to find the one hes been waiting for right under his nose. The bit about the human trafficking wasn't entirely necessary...but eh, I can ... live with it. My only other issue is that Al was a bit too perverted for my taste...

The Seiyuu's and the art were as good as I could have asked for, and I love the serious tone! I'm a business kind of person.

All and all, well done for a two episode yaoi!

So, I know I say this a lot, but I don't categorize myself as a BL fan. I'm really just in it for the good story and the fact that I am completely indifferent to the gender of the couples.

Junjou Romantica, like most of the other BL's I watch, was picked up literally on a whim. I was bored with the manga I was reading and wanted a break. I have watched Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, which was done by most of the same team as JR so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I found that, unlike most critiques, MINUS the Terrorist plotline, I ... enjoyed JR a lot more then SH. The plots were slightly more realistic, all the gays didn't find themselves working at the exact same place, overall, more believable.

However, I have a lot of gripes. First, the terrorist plot. I'm sorry but you just can not make a straight male gay like that. And do force him against all of his moral codes is fairly ridiculous. Age is a number in my eyes, but they pushed this one a bit. Second, to much sex. When only two out of twelve episodes do not include sex scenes, theres an issue. Third, I am just not a fan of how fast these characters seem to spew the word love.

But some of the good points were prominent. The egoist plot was one I was pleased with. Considering t showed a real gay relationship more accurately and how it would be broken down through the years. I also appreciated the fact that not every character was...I suppose the word is Tsundere? Unlike in SH where all of them found the need to play hard to get.

The art is fairly average all things considered and the music isn't very notable either.

Overall, this anime was interesting enough, but it wasn't one of my favorites.

I don't think I have ever written a negative review for an anime...ever. But this is one time where I have to speak my mind. Neo Angelique Abyss has got to be the most awful anime I have ever forced myself to watch.

Where do i even begin. Story? Fine. Plain and simple. World of unknown origin is under constant assault by monsters. Only a select handful of people in the wide world can fight these things. Some cookie cutter ditz is sought out by four of the most standard "heroes" I have ever seen to be there healer thing and she turns out to ... be some queen. All the while, they are trying to stop so association from building some kind of machine that destroys the monsters, but also destroys the cities. The plot had very little twists, and any it did have were 100% predictable. I literally saw everything coming.

Characters. Oh boy. Angelique made me want to throw my fist through a very sturdy brick wall. I don't think they could have put a more average girl as a plot center. She dressed like a Lolita, acted all...whats that word everyone uses? Tsundere? Well she liked to play hard to get, but want EVERY MAN. Rayne. He didn't even play the bad boy role correctly for heaven sake! He was rather generic until he suddenly realized he liked Angelique and then it was all jealousy from there. I don't know what JD is unless he's supposed to be some sort of Vash clone. Thats what he felt like to me anyway. Oh yah, and he's a robot, did I mention that? More personality then the former, but still lacking. Hyuuga was fairly average, but is the only one not trying to get into Angelique's pants, er rather, under her skirt. He is the devoted servant type. Again, typical. Nyx was probably the main with the most character and somewhat of a mystery. Although hes the Rich Heart Throb with the Mysterious Past type, he was the only one I hadn't quite grasped. But all and all, awful.

The art was probably the only redeeming quality in the show. The style was rather average but the coloration and animation were very well done. Its a shame it was wasted on this story.

Overall, I would not AT ALL recommend this anime. EVER.

Let me just start by saying until LITERALLY the day before I watched it, I had no idea this anime existed. Honestly, I had no expectations, no idea what it was about, or anything. I simply saw a picture of Third and wondered what he was from.

It is very rare that I will give an anime a 10. Especially across the board. Normally, they range between 5-8. This anime earned it. Some people like those animes that drag on and on...this anime was the perfect length. Short, sweet, perfect.

Let's start with the story. Seems simple enough. Twin brothers from the distant future live an ordinary ... life on a space colony called Juno. A Tragic twist of fate sends them to the planet of Chimera where it's a contasnt fight for survival against the elements, the plants, and other humans. Rai doesn't make the cut but Thor raises to the occasion. He goes on a quest of sorts to become the Jyu Oh (Beast King) and get off the planet and return home. But as you delve in deeper, the edition of characters like Tiz, Third, Chen, and Zagi and their own agenda and the plot unfolds to become quite unexpected. The edition of the Hint of Norris Mythology (Thor, Loki, Odin, Asgard, Valkyrie, Chimera) really added a fun twist to the story as well!

Lets take a look at the characters. At first, everyone seemed a bit cookie cutter to me. Nope. Thor constantly struggling to stay human in a world of beasts as he rises to the top, Tiz's undying devotion to Thor and the predicaments it lands her in, Third's cool and easy going nature with a hint of something suspicious, Zagi's seemingly kind then cruel nature with a dash of mystery. For 11 episodes, they jam packed in more character development then some shows can accomplish in 100 episodes. And each was unique and could grab the viewer by the heart strings and yank real hard.

The theme song for this anime is something I strongly desire to comment on. It was the most fitting anime theme song I have ever heard. the rest of the music for this anime was fantastic and the voice acting was spot on.

It's really a shame this anime is so underground. It's really worth taking time out to watch it. I don't regret it in the slightest!

I'm not normally big on writing reviews for things that seem to already have a lot of fans, but this is an exception. THIS is Eyeshield 21.

Where to begin? I guess I should really start by saying this: Before this manga, I couldn't care less about ANY sport let alone American Football. Sure, I knew the rules and had seen a few games, but I never thought it possible that the game could feel like more then just big headed idiots crashing into each other. I was dead wrong.

Story? Enter Sena, high school freshman who spent his life running away. He never expected to be ... scouted by Deimons American football club. He REALLY never expected to enjoy it! Under the guise of Eyeshield 21, the story follows not only Sena's struggle to make the lie of his title a reality, but the fight to make the dreams of three friends come to fruition. Along the way, Sena, QB Hiruma, and LB Kurita are joined by a wacky cast of characters, each one adding to the team in numbers, rivals, or skill. Deimons goal? The Christmas Bowl! But just how far can they climb? In short, maybe the story had a basis of the age old under dogs fighting for the top, but they put such a spin on it, you can't help but be drawn in!

The characters in Eyeshield 21 are unforgettable. I know I personally struggle to remember characters names (especially when they are all in Japanese and not particularly short). The fact that I can remember the name of every major character in that comic is amazing (I'd like to point out that there are at least a good 20 key characters or more in the story (11 on Deimon alone)). Thats how memorable every personality was! From the violent gun collector Hiruma, to the passive and honest Kid, to the mighty lineman Gaoru, to the smooth talking Kicker Kotaru. Just a few examples of the colorful personality of the Eyeshield cast. Even the people like Mamori are hard to forget.

Art. One of the best things to me was that, even with characters that looked similar (like Kakei and Takuto) you could still understand which one was which with out reading the speech bubble. It takes a lot of talent to be able to draw the action of a sport on the still pages of a manga. But the artist greatly exceeded my expectations there. Every move from Shin's Trident Tackle to Riku's Rodeo Drive, Even Sena's Devil Bat Ghost, was drawn so well, it was like you could see the move before your eyes. Such vivid illustration really helped the story come to life. After all, the characters and story can be perfect, but it's useless if you can't depict it.

All and all, this has got to be my favorite manga. With me, taking out everything for the top spot isn't easy, but Eyeshield deserves it. I was sad to see it end, but completing it was a journey! I defiantly recommend this to anyone and everyone. If you're into football, don't pass it up, and if you aren't, read it anyway. You never know how much something can surprise you.

When bad guys are forced to do good in a futuristic city, fighting their fellow criminals, cybernetic creations, and even synthetic immortals, you get Cyber City.

Lets start with the plot. The idea is simple, three cyber criminals who have done more then a lifetimes worth of crimes, are given a chance to reduce their sentence and get a little fresh air. For every criminal they catch, their sentence is reduced, disobey, be blown to smithereens. Each episode follows a story centered around one of the three criminals turned cop and gives you a little insight into each one of them. Really, the story isn't very ... original and its biggest flaw is that it's very short. It left a lot to be desired.

Music wise, it was average. The themes were very very catchy and enjoyable, but otherwise, the background music was generic. Not to much to say.

The art was exactly what I was expecting. It was similar to Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Gungrave and was a generic style for the era it come from, but still just fine with me!

Characters. Boy did I love them! Each one had a similar sarcastic attitude but they all had their unique qualities. Sengoku is a loner type, hates taking orders and often does things his own way, resulting in problems for himself. But really, he just loves the little things. Gogul is the deadly duo of brain and brawn and, although stubborn, is able to follow orders a bit better and seems more of a team player. A hardened criminal as he may be, he still has a more human side of emotions. Benten may have an androgynous appearance, but he is certainly more manly then he seems. He is more calculating and, although he follows orders better then the rest, he only seems to be doing it as long as it suits him. He has no problem following his own agenda when he see's fit. The support cast is pretty generic but still very lovable!

Overall, the anime was short, but still very memorable. I really did enjoy it even with its minor flaws!

Model was one of those Manga's that I saw sitting there on the Barnes&Noble shelf, said "Hey, never heard of that one!", and bought it.

The art was one of the first things that I found wonderful about the story. It has a very unique style and it captivated me with the eye-catching scenery and beautiful character design. Although more Feminine, the style was a perfect fit to the story.

The plot reminded me of a a half-started puzzle. It never really made sense at first. It gave you bits and pieces but nothing that really showed the big picture. But slowly, the story comes together to ... lead to a fascinating end. Yes, it is hard to follow at first, but eventually, it comes to an end that fits the story.

The characters also set this manga a part from most vampire story. Jae is a strong heroine which I don't often see. Normally, you get the "Oh no I was snared by the beautiful creature oh help" character, but Jae is a definite but curious girl. Micheal is closer to your stereotypical vampire: Sadistic, blood-thirsty, stuck up, but the author gave him an interesting twist. They made him an artist and gave him a very juicy past. Ken, although being the rebellious and rudely playful stranger, plays a very important role and really becomes one of the characters that you want to see get what he wants. And Eva has one of the most dynamic setups in the bunch.

Not being one to be a fan of the Vampire love story, I still found this to be an enthralling tale! I would defiantly recommend this!

This has got to be one of the most realistic manga's I have ever read.

I am not very much of a yaoi fan at all, but I am quite the fan of FAKE. I found this on the recommendations list and I thought, why not? Man am I glad I took a look.

This story is vividly realistic. It shows powerful insight on the life of struggling gays and really proves the authors knowledge on the subject. It makes a strong connection to the reader and really makes you feel compassion for their struggles. It covers cheating, rape, death, HIV/AIDS, coming out, and so much more. ... The past that is given to Mel is deep and really grabs the reader.

Describing the characters is a bit difficult. Although I think the main romance is a very...well childish, it develops into a relationship the readers will be hooked on. It's steamy, jealous, passionate, sweet, intense, and full of the drama we all love to see!

All in all, I highly recommend this story! Especially if you yourself are a struggling gay or can relate!
