A guy who has never been into anime before until I watched Avatar("Anime" I guess). After 1-2 years after that I decided I maybe wanted to start looking into the anime world.
Without really knowing anything, except the mayor series that I really didn't wanna watch, I found out from a picture submitted to a website an anime that looks interesting (Sakuasou no Pet na Kanojo). It caught my attention and after a couple more series I'm still looking forward to explore this world.
I'm still new, got no clue what is out there and what to look after. If you think you got something that you believe I will enjoy, feel free to share!

I also recommend you try it the Darker Than Black series, and Wolf's Rain. Wolf's Rain is my absolute favourite anime.
That's good! And no problem. Glad I could help. Hope you enjoy them~. And I see. Heh, I understand.
Excellent! And, SnK is Shingeki no Kyojin. xD
Hahah, I gave Steins;Gate a 10/10 so I certainly do like it it. It's quite a believable take on time travel, in my opinion.
Ah, "kawaii" is "cute" in Japanese. xD
If you'd like to try out some bittersweet romances, I recommend taking a look at Shinkai Makoto's works, particularly 5 Centimetres per Second and Kotonoha no Niwa.
I'd also recommend trying out the ef series: a tale of memories, and then a tale of melodies. They're both very good romance anime.
There is also Kamisama Dolls, which I personally enjoyed quite a bit. It's something a mystery, action anime with some psychological elements.
If you don't mind the magical girl genre (in which case I'd recommend Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth, their manga versions that is), I recommend trying out Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica.
Of course I remember you!
While regrettably I haven't seen most of the anime you've listed, I have the feeling you will enjoy Code Geass. I haven't seen it either, but I've noticed a lot of people who like SAO, Accel World, Btoom! and SnK also like CG, so I believe it's your best bet for now. The animation is pretty good from what I've seen, and the character designs are great (by my favourite manga authors, actually!) with plenty of kawaii girls.
Hope I could be of assistance. c:
It's a shame you didn't like Steins;Gate! How far did you get through it? I know that many people find the first few episodes quite slow. Just bear with it and it will pick up fairly quickly after...I believe it was somewhere between episodes seven and nine.
You could also take a stab at Shinsekai Yori.
Hahah, just go with what you feel up to. Steins;Gate and Shinsekai Yori, on your plan to watch, are quite good anime that I can vouch for (although I have yet to finish SSY).
I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you're keen on watching something similar, I'd highly recommend Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
Also welcome to the anime viewing world :D
