Oh, how long does it usually take to move between your home? Like you move every summer?
I have never experienced that life style haha.

Anyway, Nijiro Day's ending is fine I guess, it's kinda bitter-sweet (one of the girl finally realized her true feelings but she just didn't confess, and the guy was too shy to say it to her) :/. But still, the show is really light-hearted and funny.

I will probably see Relife before you but I won't spoil anything :P, and have you gotten time to continue with Chihayafuru?

Overall it's a good show but the happy end is a bit weird. Some how I don't see it justifies with all of craps that every character has been through. The ending certainly wasn't bad, but it negates a lot of developments and pain by simply letting them "go" on Sonazaki's part. Also the second half of Kiznaiver tends to get a bit melodrama. I'd give it 7.5 (since MAL doesn't allow decimal, it rounds up to 8).

Yeah same, I also ship Taichi because of his one-sided love for Chiyaha, it really makes me empathize with him.

One of the reason why Chihayafuru is so captivating is its characters development. It's good because it feels real, you can feel their struggles and challenges they have to get through, and their thoughts, their emotions translate pretty well to the viewers. The show gets better because of the characters, because of their progresses. The longer you watch, the more connections you create with the characters.

Oh yeah Kiznaiver, I'm also waiting for the conclusion, I don't know how they will end the series but either way, someone's gotta get hurt. Too bad the show sells terribly and isn't well received in Japan.
Takana_no_Hana Jun 24, 8:34 AM
Haha Ikr, but the question is, who do you ship Chihaya with :P
How about the anime then? Enjoy it so far? The story gets really good later on so keep watching, knowing it you will probably binge the whole season 2 really soon xD
Takana_no_Hana Jun 21, 2:39 AM
Sorry for the late reply, I was going crazy with the modern layout and finally managed to import my favorite style to it. Check this out xD

So how thing's going with Chihayafuru or Shouwa? Have you started them yet?

We can pick Orange and Relife next season and discuss it together, I'm looking forward to it. Also I think Nijiiro Days will have a proper ending so don't worry, probably an original ending anyway.

Monogatari best girl? Hard to choose but I'd go for Shinobu because she's always loyal, she has a teaseful personality and I especially like the way she talks (like a high-class lady, seeing people as low-life being). I think I have a fetsh for sadistic characters lol.
Takana_no_Hana Jun 18, 11:53 PM
Ah I see, hmm let's say would you interest in picking a few shows next season so we can watch and discuss them weekly? I will follow a whole lot of them anyway but it's up to you :P.

Yeah, there aren't a lot of good shows this season. My favorite are Boku no Hero, Flying Witch, maybe Macross Delta (still don't like it as much as MF). Kabaneri used to be my favorite before it turned into a real trainwreck lol, so much wasted potential. Other than that, not so much worth mentioning. Maybe you will like Re:Z but I seriously doubt that haha, idk though.

I don't like Joker Game, I think you'd be better stay away from it. It has a very slow pacing, episodic with no plots connection at all.

Oh, almost forgot about this, have you seen Nijiiro Days? It's a short but sweet romance show (15min per week but lasts for 2 cour). The show will finish soon so check that out if you're interested.
Takana_no_Hana Jun 18, 8:56 AM
So you're not the type who like to watch airing shows? Macross Delta is a good show this season, though I don't like it as much as Frontier. I'm just too getting used to airing shows nowadays, I used to wait until seasonal shows finish and then marathon the good ones , but then I think it's more fun to discuss something while it is airing.

Hachimitsu was quite a ride for me, it's not purely a SoL show but instead, it takes time to develop the story and character's relationships. You can see them naturally happen(second season is a lot more dramatic). It's one of a show I'd strongly suggest if you're into romance and drama.

On the other hand, I thought Gin no Saji was quite funny haha, I enjoyed the show in both comedy and SoL aspects (it has a nice touch of romance near the end), but yeah if you aren't into SoL then it might be hard to digest.

I couldn't get into the characters in Re:Zero so yeah, it's not bad but I don't find it interesting enough to actually "like".

Anyway, what are your top 5 this season?
Takana_no_Hana Jun 17, 10:27 PM
I'm not really interested in VN and such, which is a shame, but I just couldn't get into it. I spend most of my time watching anime anyway haha.

The melody in Kokoro ga sakebi, I thought it was well-known regardless of culture, maybe I was wrong. I just remembered hearing it when I was a kid, it has a catchy tune. About the ending, actually I quite like it because it was rare to see the "nice guy" not ended up with the main girl but instead he chose to make up with his ex (she was nice and kind-hearted too). But in the end, the big guy confessed to Jun so everyone has a happy ending. It was a satisfied ending, don' be so mad :P

I planned to see MF movies but somehow I forgot, thanks for reminding me. I really like the tvs, between two girls I'd choose Sheryl. She's mature and has a strong personality, I think Ranka is just too childish, and "first crush" doesn't always represent your true feelings to someone. It's easier to say i love you to your first crush, but are you really prepared to be in a relationship with that person for the rest of your life? . If someone as mature as Sheryl says so, it means she's ready, I can't say that for Ranka though (still appreciate her thoughts but I wouldn't take her words as seriously as Sheryl). Oh shoot, just realised I role-played a bit there.

Netoge is so so, but I don't consider the show to be romance, Akko is too unrealistic you know :P, it was just a self-inserted show. I want to see good developments between a couple, so yeah it isn't a good romance.

Hmm suggestions? Actually I got a bunch, you should definitely check:
_ Hachimitsu to Clover
_ Chihayafuru (this one is a must, I'm sure you will absolutely love this, it has great character developments and shipping of course)
_ Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199
_ Kotonoha no Niwa
_ Gin no Saji
Takana_no_Hana Jun 17, 6:47 AM
Oh lol, glad you like the theme. I kind of realise the girl on your profile - the main girl in Boku x inu - although i'm not sure if she was this ... sadistic or it's just you who chose this side of her to present your image :P (meaning you must be S too).

Ef is one of my all time favorite romance show, and even now when I think about it, I still feel the pain which Yuuko left on me, poor girl :(. Spice and wolf for me was quite a ride, I really like the dynamic interaction between Holo and Lawrence, the atmosphere was really nice too (exploring, economy and stuffs), but it's a bit male focused so I understand why female audience don't enjoy it much.

Kokoro ga sakebi's song is quite catchy, but mostly because you have probably heard of it since childhood. I remembered the melody long before I saw the show, definitely I've heard of it too when I was young. It has nostalgic feeling so yeah.

I like both Mushishi and Natsume. Both offer different kind of feelings (things tend to be more emotional in Natsume, while Mushishi is about exploring the world and people around mushishi).

I have Macross F movie and Danshi koukousei on the priority list, I will watch them soon. Rainbow? Yeah it looks interesting, added to PTW. I read Magi manga before so I'm stalling the anime, the anime is a lot different from the manga actually. I don't like how they changed the stuffs around, will get to it sometimes later.

Thanks for the suggestion :P, you should definitely watch Shouwa Genroku as it's the only one anime in a few years recently that I didn't hesitate to give it a full score.

P/s: oh are we role playing now? I don't know who should I imitate, .. any ideas?
Weasel May 21, 8:54 AM
I know its roleplay and that you arent a tsundere :P But you are doing a great job at it though
Weasel May 20, 7:22 AM
I see someone has quite the tsundere personality :^)
-FS- May 20, 2:07 AM
mardock scramble.

I see and how many yrs have you been watching anime?
-FS- May 20, 1:20 AM

The amount of care and effort put into making your profile is very, very impressive. It's fantastic! I'm glad I took you up on your offer :)
