That makes sense. I guess I'm a bit biased since I haven't read the source material. I did notice that the relationship between the main character and his love interest was a little bit rushed. But other than that, it's pacing is okay.

Suite was just absolutely fabulous. Not even KyoAni's Chuunibyou succeeded in making me me go full chuu2, something which Suite managed to do. Yep, Kanade is the best, but especially when she's not a Cure. Out of interest, who was your favourite?
PreCure fever's died down after having a good night's sleep so I shall be resuming normal service ASAP. Time for some SHOUNEN, hell yes!

Suite Precure was just far too enjoyable for my own good: Hibiki and Kanade's constant yuri bickering, Ellen being either hilariously tsundere or moe and all the massive instances of comic relief (Minor Trio being incompetent, Hummy being Hummy). Plus, without a doubt, the most fabulous transformation in the entire franchise. Yeah, the fights and drama were kinda lacking, but hey, there was yuri! I just had to Precure my entire profile or else the post-depression would start kicking in.
Also, loved how Toei-san didn't even try to conceal the yuri in the movie when Hibiki entered Pink Devil mode.

I remember you saying that you thought Aku no Hana's pacing was terrible. After watching the latest episodes, I can't really notice it. Can you give me examples if you can?

Gantz manga is finally about to end. Now I have to find the motivation to read it since I lost interest in it a while ago. It's a shame too because I thought that the first 200 chapters or so were really engaging. Too bad it overstayed its welcome.

...and now, we have half of it.

...and it's disappeared off Nyaa. It never had a single Gundam SEED.

Is that the PV rip? I saw 2 going up on Nyaa in the past few days. There's a third one which went up an hour ago (your post being 2 hours ago) which seems to be the real thing.

I barely remembered that character. But needless to say, Amy has a lot going for her in the passing episodes. Hopefully we'll get more development from her in the next episodes onward. For a second I thought you said I was on something for thinking Amy was adorable. I was like, "How dare you sir!"

That sucks. I would've liked to see the original form. Also I noticed you live in California, hope you're not close to those wildfires that the news keeps reporting on.
Something tells me that you love brown lolis. Oh, and Amy in Gargantia is cutest thing I've seen since mai little Yuki.
Yeah the girls in Yahari have a lot going for them to make the show at least watchable. I will admit, Date a Live has some really gorgeous animations. And Tohka is very energetic in the way she develops her personality with the protagonist, but other than that the show is still not that good. Crime Edge is basically Mysterious Girlfriend X but with hair instead of saliva. If you know me, saliva is way more stimulating for me to watch lewdly.

Just to hijack, it's ironic a lot of Asian education systems seem to do well on paper when it's uber-focussed on memorization.

Apparently, he had dropped out of high school the year before and then came back on his own after realizing the limited career opportunities that a high school dropout is faced with. So, by all accounts, let's say his speech was genuine. Then, I would agree with him that teachers should be responsible for more than handing out packets of random facts and information and then babysitting them for the rest of the class. There should be some student-teacher interaction, and it's somewhat hypocritical to expect a student to be interested in a subject that the teacher doesn't seem to care about.
Due to the nature of the public education system, however, it is understandable that teachers might become unmotivated over time. First of all, teachers often must deal with disrespectful students who have no interest in learning. Home environment and other socioeconomic factors obviously play a role in this. But, as you say, a student eventually has to become self-motivated if they want to learn, and teachers aren't really responsible for that. In addition, since the public education system seems to be more concerned about test scores rather than whether the student is actually learning, teachers are often restricted in the manner in which they present the material, limiting their own enjoyment. To sum up my rambling, there has to be a "give-and-take" relationship between teachers and students.
Education would be better if it focused more on the application of information to the real world rather than just sheer memorization of facts. It heavily favors those with good memories; memorization and intelligence aren't the same.
