Ratings: Anime vs H-anime - They're completely different and the ratings between the two should never be directly compared, for my list personally. So, I might give [B] h-anime an 8 and [C] anime an 8 as well, but I might like one of them drastically more or less than the other. Same can be said about reviews. Hope that makes sense.
Zeta's pretty good, but the main character Kamiile Bidan is very anti-social. When he talks to people he's uncivil and to top it off, he's short-tempered. Though, I will say that the Zeta Gundam design looks sweet. Im hoping Amuro will show up again because I only saw him fight a couple of times.
I got Char's counterattack in the mail yesterday. Though, Im going to wait for ZZ to finish downloading.
Thanks, though I should really fix my movie trilogy reviews... wrote them around 4 in the morning on an empty stomach, heh.
Anyways, make sure to catch 0080, check out my review if you need. I also recommend finishing the trilogy if you haven't done so already. Though it was a tad boring in the beginning, the story really picks up as Amuro develops, and by the end it really becomes something very memorable.
Also, though I have a feeling you know this, but to be on the safe side: stay clear of seed destiny; seed was a fine series, despite what some UC fans might say, but man, destiny will destroy everything you loved about seed.
By the way, have you seen the mecha designs for the 4 main gundams in 00's second season? I sure hope the story will look better than those designs, since 00 really, REALLY needs better closure in the second season.
Considering all the other deaths, I was okay with Kira living (besides, if he died, what about Lacus? ;;) It wasn't like he was in any real horrible danger anyway. Now Heero in GWing? He should have died. xD
Lmao you keep bringing back the question of Mu. Im not going to ruin it to much, but I will say he is in Destiny; there was no mistake on MAL's part regarding that.
Destiny is not as bad as some people portray it to be. You can claim Im subjective on the matter, but it does manage to tie up some loose ends that Seed left to question.
Honestly, I can't call the ending of Seed a resolution--far from it actually. War is always going to exist, and many people arent going to accept each other's differences so quickly and congruously. I mean there's got to be transitive period before integration. This notion is also applicable to Blue Cosmos as well. Do you expect to them to accept the change gratuitously? As far as Im concerned, the ending of Seed marks the end of the climax, and is the transition between the falling actions and denouement.
Im downloading ZZ Gundam. Barely any seeders for it though...I'll probaly watch it out of bordeom lol. ZZ supposedly ties some of the loose ends made by Zeta. DAMN, I need more seeders...
Haha, glad you seem to have enjoyed the series as much as I have!
Having only seen one episode of 00, I can't say much yet, but I really loved all the deaths in SEED, lol. Muu was completely unexpected for me and Flay was a grand, grand surprise that I commend them for since I'm sure no one saw that coming either.
And as far as Destiny goes... it's pretty much a rehash of SEED. You already know it's not really a series I recommend, but if you've got time and are bored out of your mind, there are a few amusing scenes scattered throughout the series if you feel like putting up with all the other bullshit nonsense they pull. In the end, I think I just eradicated everything that happened in Destiny out of what I consider to be SEED's canon. XD If you view the whole thing as useless crack, then it isn't so bad... lol.
Blue Cosmos are radical Idealists in the Cosmic Era universe that want the Coordinators exterminated in their entirety. Blue Cosmos members work behind the scenes and in the shadow of the Earth's government and military. In my opinion, they are a bunch of elitists seeking their own preservation due to their cowardice and misunderstanding towards the coordinators.
Blue Cosmos plays a larger role in Seed Destiny. If you ever get to watching that, you'll see what I mean.
How does Seed Destiny exist after that? Well, as long as they're humans, then conflict will always exist. A sad truth...
Yeah, Lacus's shift in character was quite suprising, but I believe she had to go through that drastic change and get "stronger" after her father died.
Yeah, Mu was awesome. Loved his character, especially when he hits on Murrue lol.
Rau le Creuscet was an incredible villian--I have to agree. He wanted to bring the apocalypse....pretty funny when I saw that.
Who's more "evil", the earth forces or ZAFT? That's a little difficult to answer. Well, in their entirities, they werent evil, but their radical leaders are definitely troublesome. You saw how near the end that the Earth Forces were pretty much the marionettes under Blue Cosmos's control. Blue Cosmos is a big no no; however, I can understand their position though, but their methods were to radical.
As for ZAFT they had Patrick Zala...the guy went mad, and he had the notion of destroying the Earth with Genesis...The guy was a lunatic and asenine...the plants are so damn fragile--where the hell are the coordinators going to go if the earth is destroyed. Plus, as the generations progress, they're becoming more sterile...so they basically need the naturals.
The show defintely had a lot shit going on lol. Oh, and if you think Blue Cosmos was bad in this one, watch SEED Destiny, and you'll find them a lot worse.
Haha, oh? If 00 is on anywhere near the level of SEED, I'm definitely going to look forward to finishing it. :o And yeah, SEED does go by pretty fast. The last few episodes have a ton of twists too, so you still have stuff to look forward to!
Damn...talk about excruciating detail lmao. Good review nonetheless. But, I felt as if I was looking at an essay, and to be honest I sort of just scanned through most of it. I suppose that I want to say is to go for concision and clarity over quantity, but I would be a hypocrite to myself because some of my reviews aren't exactly short. Anyways, that must of took some time to type, eh?
Well, if you see Seed Destiny, you'll see that Infinite Justice > Strike Freedom.
Oh, you're definitely welcome to use my template, lol. And your review was a good read! Long, sure, but I'm not one to talk. :P Bubblegum Crisis was one of those series I'd meant to watch for ages but never got around to, and it's been so long now that I dunno if I'm ever going to get around to it. xD
