Story (5/10): Unfortunately, this ONA suffers in not having a plot. While I do understand that this is more of those "one event per one episode" kind of anime, there are some glimpses of storyline riddled throughout, and I do believe that an anime should either have a good, well developed storyline, or none at all. The producers should be more consistent with what they input into this work, and not try to add anything out of the blue.
Art (9/10): The art is fantastic and clean, making the entire viewing experience that much more enjoyable. The characters all look adorable as chibi, and the art work is surprisingly pretty much consistent with its original.
Sound (3/10): Not much to say for the music as there really isn't any, excluding the beginning where Haruhi's face smashes into the screen (lol) or during any action sequence. I feel however, that the lack of music, although not nesassary, was a poor choice, as the music (and the dance) of the original has become iconic and known throughout the anime viewing world. The producers could have easily pulled off the same stunt, creating a "chibi chibi hare hare yukai" and creating a new chibi version dance for it (oh, I would give anything to see this come true).
Characters (10/10): Lucky, the producers kept true to the original character personalities! Well...mostly. Besides the fact that Kyon is now challenging Haruhi at any chance he gets, that Yuki is now a perverted videogame playing weirdo, that Asahina is now barely a foot tall, that Haruhi is being considerate, and Mikuru is now (for some reason) crying like a baby bird, no real changes (lol)! However, this is a comedy, and these "minor" changes do well to enchance the hilarity of this ONA overall.
Enjoyment (9/10): Highly enjoyment!
Overall (8/10): Good, recommendable!

Well, this ONA has kept me, my pitchfork, and my torch occupied while waiting for season 2 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and hopefully garderned back some once faithful Haruhi fans! And hopefully it will satisfy your craving of Haruhi for a while until the second one is released (which it better be, or else a certain "unnamed" animation studio will find themselves hunted down one by one by a certain doctor, and I don't mean House...he's busy).

Tip: For those of you who are just beginning this anime, please don't consider dropping it until after 5 episodes. The beginning is unfortunately slow, however, it gets much more exciting and funny around episode 3, and it starts growing on you. It's definitely worth the watch! ^^

The Short Review for the Reader without much time:
Story (3/10): What story?! Well, there was a storyline for the first and last two episodes of this anime, and then 9 episodes of filler. 9 EPISODES OF FILLER IN A 13 EPISODE ANIME. Is this anime so inconsistent that it can't even stick to the plot for over two consecutive episodes?! Hence the low score.
Art (8/10): The art is the best thing about this anime, is is fluid, clean, detailed, and rich in color.
Sound (6/10): The music matches the anime pretty well, ecchi all the way. It's the video with the music that is...interesting.
Characters (6/10): The characters all have flat personalities: they all love the guy, and they are all...lets just say "brave" in public.
Enjoyment (6/10): Eh. Some new developments that were quite interesting. Mostly mumbo jumbo.

Story (8/10): The story is one of the high points of this anime, it is original, compelling, and heartwarming.
Art (6/10): The artwork isn't amazing persay, but is still pretty good, there are some parts where the art is neglected, and isn't that detailed.
Sound (6/10): The music fits the setting of the anime, but doesn't do justice for the comedy in the anime. It is too slow paced, and creates an uncomfortable atmosphere after each episode.
Character (9/10): The characters are what make this anime, they are all likable in physique and personality, they are all original in creation, and the animals choosen for the cursed characters are perfect.
Enjoyment (8/10): Highly entertaining every episode is a new adventure.

Story (7/10): The story is typical of a shonen anime, a team of friends going on a mission to find something they want. Each of the arcs are a battle against another pirate gang.
Art (8/10): The art is what one first notices about One Piece. It is unusual and makes the series unique. However, people judge the anime for its art, and this doesn't do it justice. Just watch the anime, and you will notice the art works well with the anime.
Sound (6/10): The music is interesting, and doesn't exactly match the anime, but is still a pretty good choice.
Character (9/10): The characters are what make this anime. They are all unique in their personality and design. Their fighting techniques are all interesting in their own way, and all add to the comedy of the anime.
Enjoyment (8/10): Highly enjoyable, very funny and entertaining.

Story (4/10): Repetitive, it's always about killing some demon, and the demon always gets killed in the same way. Unsatisfying ending.
Art (6/10): The art is probably the only good part of this anime. It is smooth and fairly detailed.
Sound (4/10): Really not much to say.
Character (5/10): I find the characters annoying because they don't change at all throuhgout the series, and are always up to the same things. The only characters there are are the repetitive main characters or the useless villagers. The only reason this got a 5 was because the character history was pretty good.
Enjoyment (4/10): Enjoyable at first, but then the repetitiveness gets to you.

Short Review for the Reader With Little Time
Story (6/10): There is not a coherant storyline throughout the anime, but more of one than in the original. Just as depicted in the desription, the day by day lives of the Minami sisters.
Art (5/10): The art hasn't gotten better since the last season, in fact, it got worse. After the disappoint of Minami-ke 2, I was hoping the art be improved, or at least match the original Minami-ke.
Sound (4/10): Not much to say for music.
Character (7/10): The characters all share the air time, which is nice, but the new character designs are what bother me. The personalities are the same, also nice.
Enjoyment (5/10): Not as enjoyable as the original, or in fact, the second season of Minami-ke so far. However, it is still early in the series, so it could get better!

Story: There really is no story to this anime, just a bunch of cool and strange happenings that occur to a "weak" boy. The individual events would be a lot better had they been conveyed in a better manner.

Art: Perhaps the only strong point to this anime, the anime is detailed and well done. The motions are fluid, the colors are stonge and catch the eye, and shadings are well done. Not much else to say.

Sound: The music is typical and boring, just the kind of music one would skip to get to the anime. It is stereotypical music of the action anime, with not much thought put into it except probably "Hey, that sounds cool!"

Characters: The characters are okay, with the main character being, actually, quite unlikable. He's one of those characters with no feeling, and somehow always has the solution with failure. The only twist, he was annesia, typical of the usual soap opera. : P

The other characters, some of them completely random and unnessasary, don't get enough airtime. Index, probably the only likable character, is only displayed in the first arc, and then only gets cameos, (although she is a main character, cough cough).

Enjoyment: I personally don't find this anime very enjoyable, it is bland and completely boring at times, and only has a few scenes that remotely catch my interest.

Story: Not much to say for a storyline in Toradora, it seems pretty much to be a series of conflicts, one following the other. However, I'm not saying that the conflicts aren't interesting, but for people who like one strong storyline, this series is not for you.

Art: One of the strong points of Toradora. The artwork I must say, sorry IamJoe, is "fabulous" ^^. The artwork is fluid and clean. The pictures have strong colors that catch the eye, and keep your attention. Shading, light, etc, are all well composed throughout the anime. Each scene, disregarding events, are highly detailed, and only compliments and enhcances the anime.

Sound: The music in the OP and ED, though not my style, succeed in conveying the events in the anime, which is actually quite rare in anime. In addition to actually matching the story, the music is catchy. I often find myself in school or at home bored, and before realizing it, I am singing "Banira, salturade, banira." Quite embarrassing when everybody in class turns around and stares at me. <<
But yeah, good music.

Characters: Another strong point in Toradora, the characters all have strong personalities, and are generably likable. The characters go through life changing events that do change them forever, giving the anime a sense of realism. The characters all have unique designs that support their personalities, and make the series that much better.

Enjoyment: Toradora is mostly enjoyable. Now, notice I say "mostly". There are a considerable number of dull points that made me want to stop watching the series, for me, mostly in the beginning. However, if you give the anime a chance, after a few episodes, the anime will grow on you, and you will come to like it.

Overall: Good read more

No storyline, good artwork like waterpainting, good music that makes the series better, good characters with complicated relationships, not a enjoyable as the first season, overall 8.
