I love Hanyuu and yandere is my favorite dere. I like the 2nd season of Higurashi more, but I love both seasons so I just put the 1st season in my favorites as a general love towards the anime. I used to judge anime VERY critically but at this point I care less and judge mostly by entertainment value and other small factors. The only anime I still judge extremely critically are my top 5 anime, which I analyzed both from a critical and from an entertainment standpoint and loved them. I don't like moe much as it tends to be extremely generic and boring, only two moe series I've enjoyed are Lucky Star and Yuru Yuri (I like lesbians lol)

I know most/all of the plot revelations come in Higurashi's second anime. I ended up not continuing the anime due to only the first season getting an official English release, as well as the final arc/bomb crap disappointing.
What I ended up doing is buying the multiple mini-series of manga that have been released. There's a CRAPLOAD of them--I own something like 20 volumes! I was reading them as they came out, to begin with, but somewhere along the way my interest faded and it got on-holded. Don't think I saw much beyond what was in the first anime.
Dunno what I'm doing about it now. I have S2 on my EHDD, waiting to be watched, but if I watched it I'd lose all motivation for the manga... LIFE IS CRUEL!
...It was kinda random how you went from NTR clubbing to Higurashi tagging, btw. How did you go from looking for cheating porn to reading my tags?

Yeah, I've heard that multiple times about Higurashi. I'll probably eventually pick it back up again [or I'll read the visual novel, not sure yet] -- at the moment though, a bit preoccupied with other stuff. I'll definitely pick it up when I can =p.
