A lot of men in the anime community ONLY question women if they like anime. I have a female friend who is a cosplayer and she would get DM on her social and one she got one that said "Females really shouldn't watch anime because it only works for boys." When she go to conventions she would dude come up to her constantly and try to "quiz" her. Some guys accept it, some get frustrated and leave, and others accuse her of doing research before hand.
