Wow

That was fucking excellent! I mean seriously! one of my favorite anime of all time. Those 3 episodes were some of the best I've ever seen.Everything was warped up so nicely, the ending was perfect.

Definitely contender for best of 08! I liked your review too, great job.

As for Bebop, you mean the Remix DVD collection? If so I myself bought it a couple of months ago, even though I already have the first edition and remix dvds I couldn't resist that box(and the low price).

As for Session #20 I do agree that Pierrot Le Fou's voice was better in japanese, but overall I will always prefer the english VO.I've been listening to those vos for years and years and it's how i've come to know/love all the characters, I've watched the jp version 2 times, first time alone since i was interested in what ed sounded like in japanese, and the second watched along with my cousin to see what one he liked better(english).

Pierrot Le Fou is an awesome and often overlooked episode. It's one of those great and memorable WTF bebop episodes.

And now that you've told me that about BoTI I can't help but want to watch it even more, I want to see how badly they fucked up lol.

I see you've added Kaiba to your 10s list! i'm going to watch the last 3 eps today!

Yep the wait is going to be horrible I am sure, but shit once I have the DVDs it's all good.

As for FLCL, ah if its not your taste that's cool.Another Comedy Recommendation..hmmh..well I don't really watch many comedy anime since they aren't really my type of comedy. When I want comedy I'll just watch shows like Samurai Champloo, they're not comedy oriented but are pretty funny.

Oh well there IS one of course, but don't know if its your kind of thing. It's called Colorful, they are 6min episodes about..well..you should just see and watch yourself.People tend to either despise or really like Colorful, I am of the latter haha.

As for Manga, I understand if you just can't get into it, to be honest it's hard for me to pick up and read a manga a lot of times, so what I do is just read it whenever I feel like it.It's how i've read all the ones I have. One day I'll feel like reading manga and marathon a ton of series.

But yeah it's certainly not as easy to get into as anime.

SlipperSleaze | 07-19-08, 12:37 PM
By the way I see you haven't watched FLCL yet? I recommend it, its a 6 ep OVA.Dennou Coil's director, key animated FLCL.I think you'll like it.

SlipperSleaze | 07-19-08, 12:36 PM
Yeah it started off really great, this was my most expected show of the year and as of now its met all my expectations.Like you, I hope it doesnt turn into a romance like E7, or at the very least a "typical" romance.Doubt I'll be keeping up with it though, no one has still uploaded a 1080p ver of it, and really that is the only way to watch this show.

The rip available now is really crappy quality, and I don't have a ps3 yet so I'll probably wait till the DvDs are out so i can buy em.

As for Dennou Coil, I've been meaning to watch it for a long time now, and its good to know that it gets heavier later on.

Yo

what'd you think about Xamdou?

SlipperSleaze | 07-09-08, 5:12 PM
NP man, it's an amazing program, does a ton of stuff automatically, all you gotta do is configure the page width/height stuff to your likings and you're all set.

SlipperSleaze | 07-09-08, 4:53 PM
FMA or Bokurano, either one is a great series to start off with man.Let me recommend the best program to read manga: http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay

CDisplay + your music of choice playing in the background = ftw.

and yeah I could definitely see Kaiba with some great english VOs.As for US release, not probable I'd say :/

SlipperSleaze | 07-09-08, 4:40 PM
As for the manga, as far as I know, the director of the anime only used the core ideas of the manga, but left out all the dark/good things about the manga. The manga is still going strong and has ways to go before ending so I'm assuming the anime deviated quite a bit from the manga.

SlipperSleaze | 07-09-08, 4:36 PM
Oh no I'm still going to watch it, but I just wanted to confirm it had a happy ending. So you going to try out the manga or what? get on it man! that shit is all kinds of fucked up and awesome.

btw how about that Kaiba 9 eh?

SlipperSleaze | 07-09-08, 4:05 PM
Yo, how was Bokurano? can you spoil the ending for me?

SlipperSleaze | 06-15-08, 10:32 PM
Oh my god man

I just caught up with kaiba, and wow @ episode 7.

Damn this show is amazing

SlipperSleaze | 05-18-08, 2:22 PM
I see you're watching bebop?

Well enjoy it, it's a lot like Champloo in terms of story telling, kind of episodic if you will.

And the music, if you're into Instru Jazz, some rock/experimental you'll love the Seatbelts!

Sosiego | 02-06-08, 9:45 PM
It seems we do share some interests. I actually just got finished re-doing my list design. I also am digging yours.
