Aw, thanks. Like I said though, I don't even know if I care for the manga anymore, to the point where if it and Crystal got banned in America unlike the original anime, I wouldn't give a damn. :(
Saint-Sheepy Jan 9, 2017 7:36 AM
I don't even understand how the creators could screw that up...if it was in the 90's anime, then it would work, as we can definitely see the Sailors don't have to rely on men at all. Sorry if I did a rant earlier, that's just how much it frustrated me and how Crystal has once again been FALSE ADVERTISING.
Saint-Sheepy Jan 8, 2017 1:47 PM
Aw, thank you, and thanks for giving kudos (and thanks for the friend request). The reason I claimed it's sexist is because despite the Moon Pride lyrics saying "We will fight on our own without leaving our destiny to the prince, we are not helpless girls that need men's protection", we got the Inners constantly getting beaten and useless in battle, moaning how weak they are, not being able to stay on their feet for a good amount of time, giving up in front of the Shitennou and crying over them making them dependent constantly on men (I'm not trying to sound like a crazy feminist here), Usagi constantly being obsessed with Mamoru, running away from her duties when Luna warns kindly he could be the enemy, and once when Zoisite just grabs her arm, she goes "AAAAAAAAH!!! HELP ME MAMO-CHAN!!!" And don't get me started on when she HUGS Zoisite around the waist, and when Diamond kisses her, instead of having her being tough and punching him, she's a goddamn pussy who just cries "NO!!" like a wimp and pushes him away!! Not to mention in episode 18 only Mamoru was able to successfully attack Rubeus and Usagi just cowered until he showed up, and Venus, no comment, just had her attack fail and got captured, plus at one point, this anime review did explain about why Jupiter got captured: "when Jupiter fights Petz, she seems to know she's going to lose. Where Mars and Mercury fought to the last breath, Jupiter appears to simply give up, going from holding her own to overwhelmed in a second. It's an interesting statement about her strength, really. Much has been made of her physical abilities (which we see displayed just before she transforms), and it's easy to assume that she's just as strong emotionally. But there's a vulnerability that she tries to hide, a hurt from losing her parents and apparently having no one to really depend upon but herself. She remarks to Asanuma that she was really happy to have “finally” found the friends she was looking for, and that says a lot about the loneliness she must have been coping with prior to her awakening as a pretty guardian. The other guardians all have family lives of some kind – not always good, but at least present. For Makoto, the guardians are all she has. That is what makes her thinking of Asanuma's words just before she is overwhelmed by Petz so poignant. She knows that Moon and Venus can't save her from Petz – she watched them fail (and knows she did herself) with the other two. She knows Asanuma (who I find much more interesting and enjoyable than any of the Sailors and other protagonists), no matter how much he might want to, can't help her. So maybe the easiest thing to do is to just give up. Maybe she feels that being “the strong one” isn't quite worth it." ... >___<

These song (the actual song is OK) lyrics even end up being a lie if taken in the context of Crystal instead of the 90's anime: http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/smoonc/kakumei.htm

Kinda understand what I mean now? About podcasting, it's a good idea but I'm not too confident in my own voice...
Saint-Sheepy Jan 7, 2017 1:18 PM
IKR? I can't wait until you do that XD

But like I said, I'm afraid I might not care for the manga anymore, I want to like it, but most of the arcs aged as well as milk.
Saint-Sheepy Jan 7, 2017 8:33 AM
Yeah, frankly when I read those comments with them saying the loved the 90's anime, I'm thinking "do you really, really love it with all your heart?" I don't feel like they do (and it's not a so bad it's good thing, it's still great) and I don't even get some of their points, the Inners didn't feel more active in battle in Crystal to me and they didn't "stand around uselessly" in the original from what I know of, no "forced redemption", plus Crystal's relationship feels more toxic than the 90's. Plus the way they just replied, yeah, it was ignorant to the point where I was thinking "You really don't like reading words and opinions that aren't your own, do you?" Honestly, it's getting to the point where I'm afraid I might not even care for the Sailor Moon manga anymore to the point where if it were banned I wouldn't care...

Even some of the recent Crystal reviews (two being posted yesterday) are crazy, I feel horrible for the reviewer giving it 10/10 claiming the feelings were "more deeper than the 90's anime" and such...
Saint-Sheepy Dec 23, 2016 6:40 AM
I've seen most of Overdrive, it is not good looking back on it.

Agreed, the two of them do go hand in hand, maybe you could compare the two or something, I think this series is similar to Megaforce/Super Megaforce.

What I mean is, what do you think of this article here (along with this article where they say "What was wrong with 90's Sailor Moon that has a link there in this one?): https://unicornofwar.wordpress.com/2016/05/27/what-was-wrong-with-sailor-moon-crystal/#comment-93

I disagreed in parts and eventually I just gave up trying to talk with them as I felt like they didn't like reading words or thoughts that weren't their own, and despite them saying they loved the original Sailor Moon, I don't believe them the way they worded stuff.

Yup, I know why you love Jupiter, she is such a badass. Wish we saw all the Sailors fighting like the Power Rangers hand to hand more though (kinda similar to PGSM in a way)...
Saint-Sheepy Dec 22, 2016 7:42 PM
I see, shame, I'm reading the comment now...

Wow, it's amazing, is it a reference to Linkara's Operation Overdrive Once a Ranger review (Linkara REALLY got pissed off there, I'd be really enraged too, and I actually feel that way knowing how bad it is, I feel ya)? And you pretty much hit the nail on the head about what's wrong with this and unfortunately the manga story too...I'd rather watch Once a Ranger again, along with all of Overdrive, at least it's enjoyable with how bad it is (and yeah, Crystal really doesn't have that much action, most of the "fighting scenes", which aren't improvements on the 90's anime, are too short)!

If you use this, I'd recommend changing some of the phrases though so it doesn't sound like plagiarism.

I did link it already, but what did you think of that "What was wrong with [90's] Sailor Moon Crystal?" Both of those articles in my opinion were terrible. If you want, I'll link it again.

Another great badass moment was when Mercury destroyed that Black Crystal Endymion had, she had who knows how many badass moments...
Saint-Sheepy Dec 22, 2016 6:12 AM
Now I understand, ugh, what a fucking gingerbread man (to quote MikeySpiky200), it makes the Inners look even more useless than ever (though at least they did try)! Do you have the link to that statement?

Sadly I think this whole reboot may be forgotten as time passes, or it'll just be remembered in a bad light.
Saint-Sheepy Dec 20, 2016 4:27 PM
That's a good idea, plus also I've seen Toei seems to be making a good looking Saint Seiya series, yet they're not doing a good job here (I heard it's because they're focusing on Precure, that franchise needs to die in my opinion)...

DBZ came out round about 1989, Sailor Moon, 1992. Yeah, I've heard Toei's kinda strict with copyright, how is Nemesis being destroyed a plot hole just wondering? It's so confusing to understand Naoko's work at times.

Yeah, Crystal doesn't offer enough as a whole to recommend a purchase.
Saint-Sheepy Dec 20, 2016 8:25 AM
It's more of a crappy translation they had on the subtitles. Yeah, that's one thing I love about Usagi in the original, she stands up for what she thinks is right.

It's OK, we make mistakes sometimes.

Oh, that's what it was (it still showed the two kissing in the vision though, so that's why I think it was just Wiseman messing with her). Yeah, I can see what it's doing to yah, that whole incest thing is making me question what Naoko was thinking, and even shitty Sailor Moon hentai parodies like Venus 5 were/looked better animation wise than this!

That's good, and that's a good idea of doing a "History of Sailor Moon". Honestly, I think some people have been very blind and ignorant though, someone tried to tell me Moon Pride was not a lie because "it was about the Sailors being a team" and Mamoru was "more of a Gary Stu in the 90's anime (why do people complain about his flaws then?)"...but considering that Crystal lost ratings because of people leaving (not because of others trying to damage the ratings or moving to different website thingies) I think most Sailor Moon fans know it is terrible...
Saint-Sheepy Dec 7, 2016 5:02 PM
I think the whole thing with Uranus is that she has both male and female qualities, she's as strong as a man but she's still a woman. That whole Moon and Uranus thing was pointless, made the Haruka and Michiru thing false advertising, and is it just me, or if Uranus supposedly showed love for Moon, does it kinda end up almost, though I may be looking too deep into it, looking like an abusive real life relationship? I mean, think about it, Uranus kisses Moon randomly after telling Moon not to get in her way, she attacks Moon, tells her not to go around or she'll eat her up (and "take advantage of her" in the manga, which was even worse), and Usagi doesn't say anything about it like how wrong it is or something? If I were her I'd be like "Why the hell did you attack me and the others?" God, even the break up thing in R (which yes, was a flaw) made more sense than this, and at least that one showed Mamoru wasn't perfect!

Yeah, I never understand how the Sailors are able to fly. People claim "it's a magical girl thing" or something but it's a lame excuse, they're probably in denial or something or blinded by their love for the manga, which isn't all that great.

Yeah, I don't (Sunrise actually did Inuyasha and Gundam though) understand how Toei could screw up royally here. Yeah, the original anime was not perfect (animation styles changing, story flaws like the aforementioned break up), but it still was way better than this. Yeah, I'm not sure if Usagi even has a rea; personality or something now, instead of her maturing, I just see her becoming a bland Mary Sue. In fact, she's even dumber than the original Moon, claiming Chibi-Usa was "just another woman" to Mamoru...

Yeah, there are no risks in this reboot compared to the original anime, the original really felt like the stakes were high and such, especially with Black Moon, Death Busters and even Stars. What's sad with season 3 is it started off strong but the final battle at the end fell flat on its face at the end.

Another good thing R did fortunately was turn that disgusting Mamoru (why did they have to make him evil AGAIN) x Black Lady kiss into an illusion instead of it just being there, that made me question Takeuchi, and it just goes to show the manga sadly didn't age well.

No problem, and thank you, I'm glad to see we've got something in common. Dead Moon Circus is darker and doesn't have as much action and such as the other film (which is awesome), but it's still great and shows what SuperS should have been.

I'd say it's a good idea to bash on this anime (if you make a video I'll see it if you leave a link), if any one of those Crystal/manga purists flames, trolls, (cyber)bullies you and leaves you butthurt opinion disrespecting comments or violence/death/sexually harassing (I actually found one like that, no joke) threats, I will troll them and report them. I'm thinking of doing a similar rant on how some people claim the Inners in the original anime "were useless a lot of the time", yet I've seen the opposite.
Saint-Sheepy Dec 1, 2016 5:22 PM
No problem, and in fact, a lot of people I know hate Crystal, in fact, I believe it is the equivalent to Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings (which is mostly reviled and . Agreed, Jupiter wasn't done justice at all, especially with her whining like a wuss when she got thrown by Haruka (my favorite is Mercury and she hasn't been done justice here). Agreed, Saturn was treated way better in Crystal season 3 than in Infinity, can't say the same thing about Uranus and Neptune in Crystal though, Neptune is just "there" most of the time, and the less said about the Moon/Uranus thing the better, believe it or not, Naoko never considered herself that great a writer, was disappointed with how her manga turned out due to rushing it, and despite what fans/manga purists may say, she actually really likes the original anime now and has said that at the time her anger with it was due to stress of having to meet deadlines.

Yeah, honestly looking at it overall Crystal was just a (even the original anime, which improved on the manga, minus SuperS, looked more like the manga than Crystal does) marketing tool that seems to me to be pandering to manga purists/fanboys, and honestly when I read comments of them saying "they love the 90's anime" but they're throwing shit at it and saying Crystal is better, I don't think they're being honest.

Was the Sailor Moon fan film this one (there's another great one called Dead Moon Circus, in two parts): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNOMgaAHYSw

The fans for the reboot are really horrible too, trust me, I actually made a DA journal on how bad they are: http://seiya-meteorite.deviantart.com/journal/What-is-wrong-with-the-Sailor-Moon-Crystal-fandom-612208901

I even ended up getting into a pointless discussion with this article, I gave up talking even to this obvious manga purist who's incredibly biased towards the manga (I commented on the 90's article below too and it's crappy): https://unicornofwar.wordpress.com/2016/05/27/what-was-wrong-with-sailor-moon-crystal/#comment-93
Saint-Sheepy Dec 1, 2016 5:52 AM
Hey, I just wanted to say I agree with your review on Sailor Moon Crystal, and especially on the part with the Black Moon arc, you are right, in the manga, it is horrendous and I don't see how anyone could love it, even Chibi-Usa, who was boring in Crystal, was neglected by her own mother who only spent time with her father (and there's another flaw, why Star Power up the Inners if three of them are going to be captured for half of the arc?)....

Season III is fairly decent, better than the first two, but it still has the flaws the manga had. I don't understand how some people praise it also, it's still overrated (just wondering, who's your favorite of the Sailors? I don't think they did her justice in season III).

Hey there! Merry... whatever the fuck you you want! XD Not everyone likes Christmas apparently, so how about I just wish you to have a good, relaxing holiday? :P

I can't make a personal message for everyone unfortunately, that would take forever. But hey, I still wanted to have something to give to all the beautiful people I've met so far thanks to this community.

Maybe you've been reading my novel on MAL, maybe you are the one who sent me something made from you, like a novel or fanarts. Or well, maybe we're just buddies that like to talk about anime/manga or hobbies in general, why not? XD

I wanted to make something with my own hands, so I decided to make a small drawing of the two main characters of my novel. It's 110% Paint made, so I put hours of effort on it. I know it doesn't look very good, but I haven't drawn anything in the last 8 years XD
I hope that it will be enough to make you smile a bit at least. :P

Once again, thank you for everything. I'll be looking forward to new funny and interesting conversation for the next year as well!
See ya ^^
