It's awesome to find people who agree, especially on the exact same level (we all know there are varying degrees of understanding after all).

I've watched Elfen Lied all the way through 3 times, normally I'll view it in it's entirety over the course of a single day. I find that unlike some other series Elfen Lied has an incredible staying power, and the same feelings over come me every time I view it.

I feel the nudity aspect in the series is employed the majority of the time to display our human ideal of beauty, for instance as in the series' opening. I don't feel it's used to be sexual in most cases either, like with Nyu I feel it's more of a symbolic representation of our suppressed innocence which society does all in it's power to condition us to abstain from. This isn't exactly related to the plot, but rather something I've uncovered that is either deliberate or accidental, regardless it's powerful none the less.
