Watched it recently and was revisiting a bunch of Hosoda films when I saw your comment about Summer Wars. I definitely think Wolf Children is a better film and I don't think that's just because it's a new film that I WANT to be good or anything like that.

"Mamoru Hosoda needs to back away from sci-fi for his next project, or else he runs the risk of loosing the ability to create emotional connections between characters and audience. A film needs soul, and he seems to be forgetting this."
