:/ I can't think of anything who wasn't teenaged or had the maturity of a teenager not watching The L Word. Seriously, the older audience for that series just watch it with barely suspended incredulity while it's the 16 - 25 crowd that eats that shit up. It's like a soap opera not for old ladies, since the cast is extremely hot lesbians fucking one another without censorship.

I like to think that the blond boy from High School Musical was Disney's attempt of a gay character. Also, there was this one TV movie they did called Motorcross'd and it was about a crossdressing girl who does motorcross racing (long convoluted story about being her twin brother's replacement in races), and another girl got a crush on her assuming she was a boy.

I also remember an extremely short-lived series called Young Americans where a girl crossdresses as a boy and goes to a boarding school where one of her friend suddenly falls for her. He seemed pretty vicious thinking he was gay, but then got all placated when he found out she was a girl. So I don't know if that's progressive or not.

If you like Gintama or just Sakata Gintoki then come here now!

South of Nowhere... I only watched for the hot bisexual. Damn it, what was her name? Ashley? Geez, that girl's voice was sexy.

Well, Queer as Folk and The L Word had gay characters, but I like to think those shows weren't made about gay people. Just... fantasy gay people who are unreal.

Well, that's true that South of Nowhere and Degrassi had gay characters. But those aren't particularly mainstream. Or good...

Haha, well, it matters to me. Yuri has been growing out of the goggles and random slash arenas since mangaka have become increasingly less afraid of making their characters lesbian and letting them be accepting of their sexuality.

I await the day of a mainstream children's cartoon where one of the main characters or at least important supporting characters are legitimately gay. It might be a scandal and they'll want to pull the show off the air, but I await a time where things like that won't matter to people.

Like what if Buttercup from the Power Puff Girls had a crush on another girl? Or what if that bald guy from Codename: Kids Next Door finally came out of the closet?

Ah yes, Tyzula. I don't know anything about either one of those girls except what they look like. Straight, no? I recall one of them is someone's girlfriend or something or the other. Would have made for awesome sex, though :/

I couldn't tolerate the fans of Avatar, plus, it was really boring... And I was glad I didn't watch more, since that Zutara/Kataang thing would have made me look for blood. I always like Katoph for some reason... hmmm.

Oh, who can escape Avatar: The Last Airbender? I didn't want to know about it, but I had no choice. I know everything that happened in it and all the characters... and I've only seen five episodes in total.

I love The Simpsons. Probably the only "dumb American cartoon" I ever cried for. And yes, I cried during the Simpsons. Wow, Invader Zim! I loved it, before every weeaboo and emo preteen on the planet suddenly started toting around Gir handbags to match their Jack Skellington t-shirt and plaid skirts.

Of course I do. I used to be an avid movie watcher (about 8 movies a week) but then I stopped after a while. I sort of grown distant from it. I used to watch movies with a person I really loved, and we separated, and I found it hard to sit and watch a ton of movies since it was something we used to do together. But that was a long time ago, and I grew out of film-going and watching to the point that I don't feel inclined to do it much any more.

I love cartoons, but the old ones, like Powerpuff Girls, Doug, Rocko, Hey Arnold, and those Tex Avery shorts and Popeye. That sort of thing.

I rarely watch TV shows except sitcoms nowadays. I abhor House. It's the only show I watch and that's because I have no choice-- everyone in my home loves it so I am forced to see it every so often.

Hahaha, nice try. They're cute... when they're not next to me.
tehnominator Mar 18, 2010 3:46 PM
Aw, that's too bad. And you seem to know a lot about these brothels and strip joints... or is it that your town is really small and nothing ever happens?
tehnominator Mar 18, 2010 7:09 AM
I woke up at around five or so. It was insanely hot, but I am an early riser. And I don't mind-- most people know I'm from the Western Hemisphere. Although I've had lots of "Are you Filipino/Australian/European/South African?"

At least you have brothels. I know a few street corners, but I don't know any brothels.

Actually, it's about 9:30 in the morning. I have no classes today, so I am bumming around for the while. And I never sleep, which is why I'm also on at 1 in the morning when it's about 1 in the afternoon for you, or something. I am not sure how Upside Down Land times work...
