Hello! I'm Chi, or ChiisaiTenshii on Deviantart (and cosplayer of our DA, Cosplay-Soup!).
I I began with Pok'emon, like most people and still love it up to the games today~
My favorite anime is K-on!, but FMA-1, or the first Fullmetal Alchemist will always have a big space in my heart. My favorite mangas are Pita-Ten (one of my first~) and Honey & Clover.
My favorite cosplay is Risa Harada from DN Angel (also an anime I like quite a bit) that I get to be with a good friend as my twinny, Riku. My friends and I from our group, Cosplay-Soup attend Anime Detour and Animinneapolis annually.
My anime and manga lists just keep growing~!

These are a particular few anime I absolutely fell in love with and recommend to all. Each series is great in their own way, though here are my reasons why I love them~
[1] ☆ Fullmetal Alchemist / FMA-1 / The Original Anime / The First Anime / Conquerer of Shamballa:
So, first off I'd like to say that I like the manga, but I do NOT like Brotherhood at all. In any case, even though I like the manga, I love FMA-1. Many people don't like it just because it doesn't follow the manga, but I think as one of the character designers of the show does; you have to think of it as it's own story- and I feel that story is a masterpeice. I do agree that it appeals to different tastes; a somewhat darker one of underlying serious themes, and being attached to a character before they are killed off. With Envy from this series as my all-time favorite character, I feel like the characters are more realistic and rounded with background stories and emotions that lead them to do what they do instead of "cuz we were told to". I loved the beautiful art style and music of this show... well, there are many reasons! Every time I watch, I learn something new- I've seen it 7 times and can watch a million more. xD I recommend it to any anime fan.
[2] ☆ Pok'emon :
Even though many people don't like the series, I appreciate all of the Pok'emon seasons and the messege they have. The show is extremely imaginative, and made me fall in love with the whole franchise immediately. It's one of those cherished childhood memories type of show, which leaves lots of room to customized and be yourself. A few of my favorite Pok'emon are Eevee and the Eeveelutions, Ninetales, Absol, Rayquaza, Suicune, Mew, Gardevoir and Ralt, and Ponyta.
[3] ☆ Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai / AnoHana :
I found this one just by chance, but I'm so happy I did. It's 11 episodes long, and short but sweet. The character Menma was the first to get me attached to the show- she seems so ditsy and absent minded, but deep down is very observant and sympathetic. Soon I could see that every character had their own characteristics that made you feel for them in some way or another. Personally, I also enjoy stories about ghosts or spirits that isn't scary, which this delivered beautifully. The theme music and art was also fantastic, as a side note. Most of all, (spoilerlol?) the ending was when I knew I loved this show; it made me cry so much and had such a satisfying end. I believe, as a short series, it's worth watching.
[4] ☆ K-on!/Keionbu :
I began watching K-on! when it first began airing, and the overall mood of the show won me over. I love how innocent, happy, and optimistic it was, making me reminisc of my middle school days with my friends. The band part of it inspired me to learn bass, and actually play Don't Say "Lazy" for my school's concert once. I love all of the music, and still try to learn it to this day. Each character in this series is very unique and relatable to people in their own way- I personally feel related to Mio in shyness and fear of scary things, Yui in optimism and bubblyness, Ritsu in energy and I see every other character having qualities that remind me of my closest friends. Though it is a rather plotless anime, I feel that everyone should give it a try, for the sake of moe.

These are some of my favorite mangas, many of which were classic in my childhood for me. They have great stories and characters, and I explain why I love them~
[1] ✤ Pita-Ten: This is one of my first series of manga, but I enjoy reading it to this day. Every time I do, I feel something hit right in my heart from the beginning to end. Whenever I read it, I've always felt like wanting to be like the angels that can make whatever they touch better and try so hard to make things good. >w< It's good for my karma lol~
[2] ✤ Chobits: This is a classic CLAMP story for many, and actually my first manga series. Though it is an ecchi, the story has so many sweet and thought-provoking events, amoung those being love and the future of A.I.. As a robot fan myself, I love the persocoms and envy Hideki's world for having them~ As CLAMP's works are, the art is lovely and sweet, and many different personalities of characters appear with their own thoughts, opinions, emotions and qualities that differentiate form one-another.
[3] ✤ Honey & Clover: This story is a simple one about life and romance for a group of young adults. As a shoujo, it has a drama factor I enjoy, but it is fantastically mixed in with elements of comedy and imagination. I connect with many of the characters, from the silly Morita to the introverted Hagu. The art style is alsoo quite unique and will throw some others off on it, but I didn't let that bother me; when colored, it is very light and soft, and even when not, it is so detailed.

In anime and manga, there are so many characters to love and hate; these are of my favorites- it might become a pretty long list- and the reasons I like and connect to them~
[1] ✧ Envy of FMA-1: Since I discovered Fullmetal Alchemist, I found myself falling for Envy as my all-time favorite character. Now, this is FMA-1 Envy, not Brotherhood- where there is a huge difference in personality, background, and some appearances. In FMA-1, I always thought his background/resurrection story was interesting. I also like shapeshifters in general, so that's a couple points.
✧ Yui Hirasawa and Mio Akiyama of K-on!: I relate very well to both of these characters. First, Yui. She is very bubbly and happy; nothing seems to be able to bring her down. She is also very absent-minded, though, but can accomplish great things even still. She may be lazy, but doesn't give up on something she is really determined about. I admire all of these traits. Mio Akiyama on the other hand, is a very hard worker in her own way. I connect to her shyness and the relationship she has with her friends. She sometimes has to do all of the hard work for the group, but will do anything for her friends.

I'm not just an anime fan, I'm a gamer! Here's some games I recommend everyone take a good look at next time they're at the game store, and just might love as well~
✖ Pok'emon Emerald : My first Pok'emon game was Ruby, so when Emerald came out, I had to see what it was all about. Though there aren't many differences, I still loved and played this game for many years after I beat it. Many memories are within it for me, from training my first awesome team to trying for years and finally beating my friend and rival. Although I don't play the game much anymore, I hope every new player to Pok'emon tries one of the Hoenn games; this the best of them.
