Hello! How are you today? :3

Oh yeah, Yayoi was great too. I liked her a lot as a character, she'd be up there with the 3 I mentioned before. To name a few songs I do like from iM@S, Promise is one of them, the other one (not including OVAs) was Marionette Heart (the song they made a big deal about Miki overextending herself but she sings the song anyway) , and that's not even really "love" unfortunately.

What I'm hooked on now though is what my avatar is from, BanG Dream. The anime is rather mediocre, but the mobile game, and the especially the music, is extremely good. If you haven't heard of them, I have a video linked on my profile of my favorite song that has a full length PV to it on Youtube (my favorite is only a preview).

It's been a bit since I last watched idolmaster, and even though I watched it twice, I can't remember many specific details of the series any more. I just remember loving it when I first watched it, enough that I watched it a second time the next year.

I guess to start off, my biggest complaint was the characters. None of them really left a lasting impression on me, though I could probably name at least half, if not more if I saw a picture of 765pro, which is a good thing, though I saw the series twice, so there's that too. I feel the overly large cast hurt my liking of the characters, just not getting enough depth to really know some of them. Honestly I can't remember too much so that's all I have to say. My favorite was Miki, who I actually have a mini figure of, followed by Hibiki and Chihaya. I liked a majority of the characters, only 2-3 that I didn't care for, which is a definite plus.

That all being said, straying away from the negative, I think the series had an excellent formula, with each and every episode being extremely enjoyable. I'm personally not all that interested in the inner workings of the idol world, I just like the music and dances, which is partially why I prefer Love Live that focuses on more slice of life and inner group stuff than external idol promotional stuff like in iM@S. Even though I say that, I still loved the series for what it was.

So uhh, my thoughts are all jumbled since I accidentally refreshed the page and lost what I originally typed, so to summarize, I love the series, disappointed with the depth of characters, but not enough that it drastically affects my opinion of the series. I wouldn't call it one of my favorites, but I liked it enough to come back and watch it through a second time, and to buy a figure of Miki, who at the time was one of my 7 figures in my room.

Cinderella Girls on the other hand... I cared less for half the cast in that group than 765pro, and even outright hated 2 characters whenever they were on screen, which is a horrible then when trying to enjoy a series. I went as far as losing motivation in the Cinderella Girls mobile game because I drew a card of one of those two girls. Oh, forgot to mention I don't care for iM@S music much at all, only a select few songs I actually enjoy listening to, though CG stepped it up a little and I liked a few more from them than 765pro. I can do more things I like and dislike of CG compared to the original but you didn't ask for this :p

Followed your recommendation and you're right as usual, Gabriel Dropout is great! So many hilarious moments, been a real treat so far!
Ceris Jan 22, 2017 8:22 PM
I feel like Masamune-kun's synopsis will work strictly as a starting point and progress from there, but since it's labeled as a harem, I don't have much expectations for late-anime for it, due to just how harem RomComs usually dissolve into pointlessness :/
Ceris Jan 22, 2017 6:16 PM
The ones you listed, but instead of Gabriel Dropout, Masamune-kun is a fun RomCom so far, which is another I'm really enjoying. For the most part, I'd rate this season of anime a bit higher than a lot of the recent seasons, a lot of really solid to good anime this season (of what episodes have aired so far)! I can't really pick a favorite so far, it's probably something between Demi-chan and Masamune-kun, though, while I didn't care for the first episode of Konosuba, I'm sure it'll bounce right back for me. Kobayashi is also amazing, though just not a contender for favorite.

I'll try embedding a different version, else follow the link instead (I just Google'd birthday in Japanese, trying to find an anime related one but found this instead)

Yeah I did see the news about that! I'm not particularly sure how to word how I feel though. I am pretty happy to hear that there will be more Code Geass with Lelouch, but I'm also worried about the possibility of it being bad. Let's just go with me being cautiously optimistic for what the future holds.

Yeah, I noticed a huge change in Isla, she was just so adorable! I'm thinking of adding her to my favorite characters list too, but I have the "seniority" effect going on. I can never seem to change my favorites with new ones D: My lists have been the same for quite some time!
Ceris Nov 1, 2016 5:30 PM
I loved it, though I'm a huge fan of anything sad. I'm a bit of a crybaby when it comes to watching stuff, and Plastic Memories was no different. Isla was amazing though, loved her! Story wise, I thought it was nicely written and very impactful, especially in the final episodes.

I found it just earlier looking for Ruby pictures. Dunno how a Rin picture appeared but I'm glad I found it! Also Link to picture
