I read your review about ef a tale of melodies, I felt something strange right after I finished melodies, but I couldn't set what was that, something that was missing, but after I read your review and saw this part:
"Yet, in watching the entire series, one can't help but feel something's missing. In the final episodes, there was just not quite the rush of anxiety one experienced when Chihiro tore out the pages of her diary...,
...didn't appear to quite to weave together as flawlessly as the original."
anyway, I just don't want to put the entire paragraph here.
This part just describe what I felt that was missing, in some way.
Apart of that, I think that in Memories the story was more emotional and I also liked more the characters and their stories, in melodies it also was great, but then it comes that feeling that something was missing, that's what makes Memories IMO superior than Melodies overall. I think I should watch it again sometime in a near future because I couldn't appreciate the animation as well as I wanted to, in many scenes I spent time reading the subtitles and trying not to lose any part of the story that there were almost no time to truly appreciate the animation as it should be appreciated because ef series have the best animation and sound I've ever seen so far.
Nice review, anyway.

Hey, I just wanted to tell you how incredible your review for Higurashi was. I'm terrible with words, and would make the plot sound unappealing to anyone; So whenever I know someone who I know would enjoy it, I just send them/ print out your review for them. Your review is really, really amazing ^.^

I just read the review on Higurashi, which got me to wonder.. did you actually also watch ni kai and the OVA's? It's one of those series that actually got me to watch more than just the first season. Loved it. Too. But the OVA is nothing like the series, besides the main characters XD

I loved your Higurashi review, but I don't quite agree with the Kai review. Kai wasn't the letdown that your review would make one think. The reason why he bad guys seemed so weak at the end was because not a single one of them was expecting a counter attack. They had no reason to think that anyone was even on to them, let alone had a surprise attack waiting for them. Especially considering faking Rika's death utterly destroys document 34 and it's intent, it was a perfect surprise attack on the Yamianu in my opinon
Oh well, agree to disagree. You thought the ending could have been better, I think the surprise attack was one of keys needed to win.

Your Higurashi review; amazing. I didn't even really want to watch it until I read what you had to say. It really pulled me in. Really, it's more of a teaser, but an awesome one at that.

Very concise and interesting review on the first season of Higurashi! Yesterday I finished watching it and I can't wait to see the next season! ^^ Fantastic series and, believe me, I'm not a great fan of Horror animes.
