Greetings Bvarnell89, I saw that you wrote a review on a Summer 2016 show.
At the Anime Guild there is a growing Reviewer Community that held it's first event for the Summer Season - https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1557888
We also choose the best Opening, Ending, Character and of course Anime of the Season.
If that seems appealing to you, you should join in the fun for the Fall 2016 Season
I'd also check out our season long event in the Power Ranking Committee.
I have already sent an invite as well as provide a link to our club ^.^ - http://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=63899
Yeah, I did notice the similarities between Dog Days and Problem children.
However, I liked Problem Children more. I don't know why, but I guess I thought they played around with the atmosphere and the character's abilities and personalities better.
ACMI, SAW, LG and TMOHS are really good light novels. I hope you enjoy them well :)
The translation for Problem Children are found on baka-tsuki, you are correct. I recommend a light novel that recently got translated called Kagerou Daze.
I heard that Problem Children was ignored in Japan so that might explain the lack of a second season. It's a shame because it would be really cool to see the stuff that happens animated.
Don't worry. As a light novel reader, I can tell you that You and Izayoi do develop nicely. Asuka and Kuro Usagi kinda do but not so much. Can't wait until they make a second season out of it.
But the magic crest transfer happened in the original VN, though I'm pretty sure all versions specified that Rin only gave a portion of her crest to Shirou, and their relationship would be similar to that of a Master and Servant
That scene that you mentioned followed was what was in the "Realta Nua" remake of the original Fate/Stay Night, not something ufotable came up with
Also, the movie and the tv series are two separate works by two separate companies, only being similar based on source material
