Hellsing Ultimate was great, but Hellsing... I'll admit AOT did kind of focus more on story than the actually fighting and action but to me story and character development are the most important part. I mean yeah, action is also really important and I love it, but to me the action and fight scenes aren't what "make" the anime. But I understand why you might find it to be slow since basically everyone of the animes you've watched are in the shounen genre except like 4 :/ Shounen's great and all, I mean about 1/4 (31) of the anime's I've watched are shounen, but if whether they'e fighting throughout the entire show is the only thing that will make the show interesting then you're gonna miss out on a lot of great anime like Steins;Gate or Death Note. Maybe AOT just appealed to me more because I don't really have a specific genre I watch and most things I'll find interesting :/
Pfft whatever you rated Hellsing 8 when the plot was HORRIBLE and half the episodes were filler til the end, not to mention the shitty animation. Attack on Titan was obviously made to have a sequel. The last episode gave a hint to how the walls got there ( the titan within the wall ). They also hinted towards how eren became a titan (you know, the basement). the plot is basically them fighting against the titans to survive. What was the plot of high school of the dead? They were fighting against zombies to survive. What's the difference? Attack on titan has an interesting story line, no fanservice, and well developed characters.
