Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
add

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne is like a mixture of Pretear and DN angel. Since this review is about Pretear and Jeanne I will focus on the similarities between these in particular. Both feature a strong female character with absent/or not really involved (pretear) parents. Both girls have unique magical powers and use them to try and save the world. Both are not understood by the "normal people around them. Both struggle with their mission and have those who help them. Both have dynamic relationships with male leads and are shoujo, romance, drama, magical girl. both have friends/allies who.. have... plot twists. both have magical beings helping them. Both have goals of defeating lots of individual quests and also an overlying growth/plot. Both focus some on the main character's relationship with their family. Now to differences Pretear deals with a mixed family and syblings were Jeanne lives alone. Pretear has a number of guys (the 7 dwarfs, except they are handsome and not short unless they are young). Jeanne has one man guy who is antagonist. Jeanne steals stuff while Pretear attacks monsters as the way to save the world.

Both Usagi and Issuukan have a soft and light feel along with a little melancholy. If you watched one and would like something that also revolves around daily life (simple things), and two people coming together and interacting, and light soft feel with a little sad then I would recommend these as being similar. The differences: In Usagi the main girl and guy are very different ages and in a guardianship relationship, The story mostly takes place at home. In Isshuukan the story mostly takes at school and the girl and guy are peers.

Psychic detective yakumo is a horror, shoujo, romane and His and Her Circumstances is a drama, romance, shoujo

the mood of both is relaxed mellow with some humor and a little melancholy. Both are slow paced and focus on slow growth. The warm and slightly awkward, loving and appreciation Natsume and Arima have with their parents. Both worry about being burdens. Both struggle with scars from the past but want happiness. There is light humor/goofiness in both of them from Nyanko-sensi and Miyazawa Yukino who each have strong personalities. both nyanko and Yukino start off as enemis to the main guy and then their relationship changes. Both are slice of life but His and Her circumstances is has drama and romance where Natsume's book of Friends is supernatural

Hideaki Asaba a man who's background grows roses and who loves entertaining ladies... and who we love to laugh at. If you liked this character from His and Her Circumstances, You will love Ouran a show filled with " rich young men with way to much time on their hands who entertain beautiful young giels who also have too much time." His and Her Circumstances is a light Romance, Slice of Life, Drama and Ouran is Comedy Parody, they still have this in common!

Similar interacting with people who view you as food. and rabbit vs beast plot. both have school life The mains are both girls who appear at the start to be normal human. In moon boy, Myung-Ee is a normal girl who discovers she is actually a moon rabbit. in Monokuro the Kurehe transfers to a school of beasts and is desired s a rabbit. Both have a black haired guy who is is cold, not human and has a dark past. Both deal a little with beast politics and the friend vs, alternate agenda issue. with Moon boy it involves Yu-Da Lee(black haired by) and his retainers with Monokuro, Kurehe's instant school friends start out their role so they could get a prize. Both girls care about others and don't get overly bummed that they are edible and viewed by most of the beasts(or wolf tribe) as food.

the main girl characters remind me of each other. both Sawako and Naka are people who have scary facial expressions but can actually look really beautiful. They are also both sweet people who struggle at realizing their love and misunderstand how to act on it. Mostly thought it is how they move and act when they are nervous.

Both have a spinn off of european fairy tale feeling and the main girl characters gave off sort of a similar feel. Both have monarchy, castles and such. Also, both deal with family/social pressure for them to not be together. The male leads are different even thought they are both hot. Sweety Gem's male character gets angry easier. Also, SG starts in the past and takes place in the present. wile Akagami all takes place in the same time period.

Miiko desu!

they both deal with elementary age characters in a way that is not demeaning. The characters are childish and silly but not stupid. The main girls Mikan(GA) and Miiko(MD) are both very spunky, energetic, and not shy. The main guy characters are not as similar, Natsume(GA) is a lot darker and meaner than Tappei(MD) but both of the guy characters have a teasing(although it is a little more bullying for Natsume) relationship with the girl. Also both have a slew of other characters that weave into the story. GA has a lot more of an epic dramatic and gripping plot, But MD has a lovely relaxed feel that makes it enjoyable as well.

Oresama Teacher
add

Although the stories are very different, they reminded me of each other. Both have girls who dress as guys. for Oresama teacher she dresses as a boy and pretends to be other characters. But in TCP the girl is constantly posing as a guy and dresses as a girl when she needs to create another character. Both have the main guy character who know their secret. Both guys have some responsibility or goal that controls their actions. Both have a number of supporting cast who are important to the story. Both sets of girl and guy characters are excellent at fighting. Both are set in highschool. both are funny and have great characters. That being said TCP has more of a romance theme while Oresama teacher is more of a school life comedy feel.

First differences. Sawako from KimiTo is rumored to be able to see ghost or to be heavily involved in the supernatural. Natsume from NatsumeYuujinchou can actually see ghosts and the supernatural. Sawako has more trouble hiding her emotions, she cries a lot more when she is happy or when she is sad. Natsume is better at hiding when he feels hurt because he grew up being called a liar. KimiTo is a romance. Natsume is supernatual and a slice of life. Similarities: Both stoires leave you with this wonderfully sweet feeling. both characters feel isolated from the people around them. Both want to be close to others. Both are hurt by bullying but are not broken or twisted because of it. Both are quietly strong. Both care a lot about other ppl (or in natsume's case yoki). Both have familys that care about them (natsume are not bilolgical though) and are important to the characters, but the characters they don't confide in them. and finally i love the sweet relaxed feeling of both of them.

both Sawako from KimiTo and Toru from Fruba are oblivious, sweet and try to put others before themselves. They both have 2 close friends who are delinquentish. Both illicit an adorable warm feeling and both have some degree of sorrow. Both experience some degree of bullying from the popular girls that like the main guy character. KimiTo is a romance and sweet. Fruba has more comedy. Ohter than that Kimiko's Sawako's main problem is that she looks like Sadako from "the ring" But she comes from an intact family. Toru's family is dead and the anime has more of a focus on family relationships. Also Toru is not scary, she is just overlooked. I loved both

Working!!
add

the quirkiness of the characters in both series struck me. Toradora centers around school life and follows a set story line, has some gripping drama near the end and has a clear conclusion. Working!! on the other hand doesn't have a plot, or a conclusion and revolves around the workers at a family restaurant. It is much more random and focuses on comedy (althought i thought Toradora was just as humors). Toradora's Ryuuji inherited his serial killer father's scary looks, Working's Satou also has a scary look but both are nice guys under their scary exterior. Ryuuji's mother's and Working's Kozue (Takanashi's older sister) were really similar characters. Ryuuiji and Takanshi are both the responsible members of their households and naturally take on the responsibility of cleaning and cooking. Ryuuji's getting beat up by Tiga was sort of similar to Takanshi betting beaten up by Inami. Both these male characters do not appreciate getting beaten up but still take it well and end up supporting the female character instead of running away. Both Toradora's Tiga and Working Popura are short doll looking characters. Tiga's personality, however is alot closer to Kyouko demanding of food, cold face, and gangster violence attitude. Last, think Toradora's Ami's personality fits well as an older more mature sister to Working's Yamada in looks and manipulation of other characters. Finally, in both anime's the character's Ruuiji and Inami have to escape the negative impact their currently absent fathers had on their lives. Both anime's talk about on the importances of past events on present situations.
