Manga compatibility with BlitzFreeze is:

I'm just a not so normal Swedish guy who loves anime manga and visual novels. Altough I actually don't spend that much time reading manga anymore.
I watch everything from shoujo romance to shounen action, though I do like shoujo a bit more for various reasons. But even with that siad I often don't care much about the genre of the anime or manga in it self, since the genre doesn't really tell you much about the quallity of the show or how good it is (Well, not counting hentai that is). What I usually enjoy is: mystery, psychological and drama. Altough I have to admit I'm a reall sucker for shoujo-ai/yuri, romance and slice of life.
I might be worth to mention that I probably haven't added every single manga or anime that I have ever watched or read but if I were to stumble upon a series that I've already finished I'll just dump it in my list.
When I rate an anime or manga I try to be as criticall as I can (Although it doesn't work that well sometimes) and keep the nummber of high ratings low. I do rate shows based on story, art, music etc. but most of it comes from how much I enjoy it. So let's say for example that a show has really good art, nice music and a good story but I don't really like it for some reason. Then I won't rate it that high, not that I will rate it low but I probably won't give the show the score it "deserves". So yeah, my rating may be a bit biased, but I don't think they should be that bad anyhow.
I don't rate shows in a very complicated matter.
10 - Something that to my eyes is a masterpiece, a show that I'll never forget.
9- A really good show, not really a masterpiece, but it had something that makes it stand out from other almost equally as good shows.
8 - Simply a really good show. Something that I enjoyed more than usual.
7 - A good show. Not really amazing or anything but it did have something extra that made me like it, or maybe it was a really good show but had some bad or annoying parts that kept it from getting an 8.
6 - A fine show. Far from bad, but it wasn't really that great either. It may have had some parts that I disliked, or it may have just been and overall mediocre show.
5 - Average. Either this is a close to bad show with some redeming features or it's a good show with lots of bad parts. It may even be a completely average show with no outstanding parts.
4 - Mostly bad. I didn't like this, probably an overall bad show.
3 - Bad. Really bad, but the fact that I finished it must mean something.
2 - Really fucking bad. I have no idea how I could even finish something this bad.
1 - Brain cancer.
Might as well mention that I do rate all shows on equal grounds no matter what. That's the reason for why the hentai I've rated tend to be lower on the list. I don't rate hentai as fap material but more or less in the same matter as any other anime out there. So just because an hentai is low on the list doesn't always mean that it's a bad hentai. And yes, I'm aware that this might not be fair or the right way to do it, but the reason for me doing it this way is to keep my list simple, and to keep everything judged by the same criterias.
So, I think I've said enough by now. If you've read all this and have any questions or comments feel free to leave a message. I probably won't answer that fast since I tend to be very inactive on this site, but I promise that I'll answer as fast as I can. You are also free to drop a friend request if you for some reason would like that, I most probably will accept it without question but it would be fun if we could at least have some small conversations if that were to the case.
That's everything for me, have a nice day/night and remember: Without love, it cannot be seen.

Yeah, one of the things that made it awesome was all of those characters who I didn't really know much about dying in awesome ways that actually made me sad that I didn't get to learn more about them. And then after the whole Dimensional Labyrinth deal in the series they were all there and that was sad, but in the movie it was just Kamina and Kittan, which was just kind of lame. The roll call scene with all of the mechas showing up and kicking ass in the final battle did make up for it a lot though. Still can't believe they ended it that way though...
It's all good man, that sucks that it crashed for so long.

Well, I finally did it. It took me 4+ hours due to loading times and the Megavideo blocks but I finally watched Lagann-hen and, like you said, a lot of interesting changes made. And also, last battle scene was so ridiculously awesome, just epic. Cool how everyone got their own showcase of their mechas. Pacing was a little off, my only real problem with the story though was that Kittan and Nia still died. I was pretty upset...

Yeah, Gurren-hen was alright, but I didn't like the pacing. As for Lagann-hen...looks like I've got a goal for this weekend. Haha.

Yeah they were most definitely a help. I figured that you knew what the guy in your pic was from? Haha.
Hmm well I'm not a huge fan of reading manga so I may just go with the anime.
Yeah the episodic format was the reason why I had to put Mushishi on hold, it seems like a deep series, but the events seemed somewhat repeatative and it doesn't seem like there's much of a story.
I enjoy shoujo-ai and yuri quite a bit actually. Haha. I just started reading Girl Friends and I'm really enjoying it, looks like I might finish the whole series in less than a day, something I never do usually. Haha.

I know that I really need to watch all three, it's just a matter of finding the time, plus I'm not so sure I want anything incredibly dramatic or sad right now. I'm thinking I'll probably watch Clannad over Christmas break, then I'll have a lot of time to dedicate to it and with snow on the ground it'll give me a good excuse to not go outside for a while. Haha.
Yeah I literally added Onani Master Kurosawa a few hours before your comment because someone mentioned it in the forums and I saw how high it was ranked, your rec only confirms that. I also found in slightly ironic that the top reviewer for Kimi wa Girlfriend had the same profile pic as you since you recommended it...
Ok, I heard that the Kimi ni Todoke anime diverges from the manga, any truth to that? I might just go with both in the end depending.
And how can you say that these recommendations aren't top notch? Look how many you gave me, no way I could match that. Haha. I've definitely got a lot more stuff on my plate now cause of you. I really appreciate it. I could only imagine the list you could make if you wanted to take the time...
And for the record, I LOVE shoujo-ai and yuri, so good call on that one. Haha.

Hey glad to have been of help then man. Petshop of Horrors only has four episodes as an anime so that's pretty short, but I'm also pretty sure there are like 10 volumes of the manga out there so a lot more gets covered there.
Yeah, at first I was a little put off by how ridiculous Needless was and it was a little bit annoying at times, but in the end I really ended up enjoying it.
I really need to get back on Mushishi as well. I'm about 6 episodes in and I really think you'll enjoy it, at the time though the episodic format was just a little bit frustrating to me.
Anyhow I'll turn around and ask you for some recommendations if you've got any. Any really good somewhat under-the-radar romance anime/manga out there that aren't on my list that you know of?

Also Mushishi is supposed to be very good.

Hey it's cool man that just kind of really sucks for you so I'm sorry to hear it. Is something going on with the site, I saw something in the forums, didn't know if it was legit?
Anyhow I'm thinking that you would really enjoy some Black Lagoon right now. I see it's on your on-hold list. I just recently read the first 5 volumes of the manga and started watching the anime and it's pretty nice badass action with some fun.
Also, not on your list:
Noir- It's one of the girls-with-guns series, I saw the first episode and it looks pretty bloody but good, and I hear it's something of a classic
Petshop of Horrors- Another older one but it has got some nice psychological action going on, even if it's a little short.
Needless- I just finished this a couple months ago and I really enjoyed it. It's kind of a shounen series parody. It can be a little bit ridiculous at times and kind of pissed me off, but it's got some cool fights and a TTGL kind of feel.
Strait Jacket- It's a 3-OVA series but I saw it on TV all at once as a movie. Pretty violent and bloody though, so some nice appeal.

Exactly. That's one of the reasons that it is one of my favorite anime out there, and it was like the 3rd anime I ever watched after Yu Yu Hakusho and Cardcaptor Sakura, which also had some pretty good endings in my opinion. So naturally at the time I thought that all anime had good, conclusive endings (boy was I wrong haha). I feel like an ending can really make or break a series and like you said TTGL had the perfect balance of sad and happy and had some closure.
Wow that's quite a list you got done there. I'm going home from college this weekend so I'm going to have a bit of free time, so I think I'll try to finish off a couple series. I'm always willing to recommend stuff, anything in particular you're looking for/ have in mind?
