Good that you are back.

As for Kindaichi manga I own all of the 27 volumes of the original series , the 10 volumes of 'new' cases , and the six volumes of short cases. I only have a couple of out of order volumes of 'Shin' which I have not read though.

I've been planning to watch Level E now for quite some time. I often accidentally overlook series due to lack of time or interest. I'm probably going to take the next couple weeks to get some series out of the way before Fall season hits full force. But, I'm known to procrastinate on my anime on occasions. I'm in the mood to watch anime right this moment but the large amount of anime I want to watch will also require a large amount of free time.

Considering I haven't seen it, it's only a suggestion, but I would say Arakawa Under the Bridge is similar to Level E. I have seen some NieA Under 7 too. It's a slice of life that might not be similar but it has aliens and comedy. Yoshitoshi Abe did the original character design, so that's what brought me to NieA, but I still need to finish it. I don't watch many slice of life, or even comedy. I'm more into psychological, philisophical, 'serious,' and more 'mature' anime so to speak but I do watch all kinds. Space Brothers is one of my favorite anime and it's a slice of life comedy about space, which are all things I wouldn't naturally be interested in, so it really just depends on my mood and how well the anime is made. Generally when I watch an anime that strays far off from my tastes it's either because it's in season or I found it on a whim like with NieA.

Thanks for the reply, I'll take that into consideration. I think I have too much in my backlog to watch it any time soon unfortunately. I'm all pumped about Fall anime season but in reality I haven't finished Summer. And besides all that current stuff there's even more older anime I need to watch.

Good review on Kindaichi. I'm still contemplating whether I'll like it or not personally. I like 'mystery' series but not really the investigation type that involve detectives and the likes. Conan is not really my thing so I may actually enjoy Kindaichi if it's different. I have a lot to watch already or I'd probably check it out.

Your review on Kindaichi explains the anime fairly simply and fluently. I quite enjoyed reading it (though with many grammar and spelling mistakes, I am assuming English is your second language).
As you have apparently only watched 56 episodes I guess that means you can't deal with raws?
I've finished it. And to share a personal secret, Confused Memories is my phone ringtone.

Hunter is a little slow you know. I'm at episode 36 so it's picking up. Killua is leaving home again to be with Gon and the others. I love the characters though. Best part of the show for me. I kept on watching even though it was a little slow cuz I read on the wiki about 'Nen' and I wanna get to that part as soon as possible.

But like I said, I'm bored of P4 so that's it for that series. It wasn't that good honestly. Just great character designs and Persona designs. Igor and Margaret and Kuma were the best parts for me. A great soundtrack too come to think of it.

School should be taking up most of my attention these days but for some reason I could care less. My day usually goes: wake up, eat, study for a couple hours, anime/tv shows, sleep, anime/tv shows and then sleep. Sometimes I study a different subject a second time during the day but that's only if I'm feeling extra productive/dumb.

I've been able to watch a lot of HunterxHunter or Persona 4 but now the first arc of P4 is over and I don't feel like watching it anymore. Soo to fill that spot I'm watching Supernatural again XD
