About Banana_Soybean
I have been watching anime ever since Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, and Dragon Ball were on TV here in Canada. I didn't start reading manga until 2008, when my friend lent me a volum of Fruits Basket, which I couldn't put down. It was all downhill from there. Regarding manga, I've mostly read mostly shojo having been in the demographic for a while, but I've definitely branched out quite a bit in recent years and am now open to pretty much anything (except hentai-I do have limits). For anime, I'm more open to whatever as long as it's interesting.

Overall, I read far more manga than watch anime (I have no idea how I can read so many series concurrently), so my manga list is more up-to-date and accurate regarding ratings and current chapter (I do occasionally extrapolate a bit to save time, so a few of the series I've "finished" might not be fully complete yet, but will be soon). I should note that many of the reviews I written in the past no longer reflect how I feel about the series as I've gotten a bit more scope through further reading, however, I maintain my claim that Fullmetal Alchemist is, and will always be, awesome. I've added my general consensus on a few series in the "comment" section if you're interested in what I thought about it. Cumulative enjoyment is the biggest factor in my scoring, followed by plot and character, though I tend to be quite generous overall (if I don't like it, I won't read/watch it, which is why the manga I've dropped have much lower scores). Being somewhat of an art student, whether or not I begin a series does depend somewhat on its aesthetic quality; some series just visually look bad.

As for me myself, I am student. A good, hardworking (ha!) student. Hence, I don't do much aside from being a "student"…well, I do a great deal lazing about while procrastinating too (like I'm doing right now). Sometimes I like to pretend I have a "life", but usually I have too much homework. I like to read things other than manga as well, mostly fiction novels, though because I am a history buff I occasionally read history books. I do art, but my style is, as my teacher says, "a weird mix between surrealism and Northern Renaissance". I don't use a computer for my works, so they aren't online. I'm pretty scarce on the internet overall as I prefer to lurk.

I'm bad at quickly replying to comments and messages, partly because I'm really busy and partly because I'm incredibly shy and self-conscious, so don't be offended if it takes me a while to reply. I will be sure to reply eventually though! I also tend to be both verbose and formal in my writing (as you can see), which can sound like I'm angry/exasperated. Trust me when I say I don't mean to sound offensive in any way, if I have a problem, I will say so. Otherwise, I'm actually glad to hear any comments or questions and always happy to help if I can. If for some reason I can't, I recommend the almighty (and usually helpful) Google machine.

I am curious to ask if you still consider Bleach to be a masterpiece. The only piece it has, is that of shit if you ask me.

Great One Piece review. Although I haven't read the manga or watched much of the show, I still enjoyed reading your review.

Nice ^^

Oh, and a happy new year :D

Just finished reading your review of the FMA manga, thought it was well written and concise; if I weren't already in love with the manga I'd probably pick it up, heh.

Also I liked the recommendation, glad I wasn't the only one who saw the original hadn't been recommended.
