My first exposure to anime came when a friend brought over a series his older brother had gotten a hold of called Ranma 1/2. Shortly after I saw that, I brought over some video tapes and got a hold of the first three seasons, the movies, and a few of the OAVs. By the time the summer had ended, it was a wonder the tapes were still holding up I had watched them so often.

Since that time, I have been an avid fan, though I had only limited access to anime for a long period of time. (Though I supplemented it with fanfiction, which I enjoy to this day.) That dry spell has been washed away now though and I'm working my way through a long backlog of series and movies that caught my attention over the years.
