Hit or miss: slice-of-life, just slice-of-life.
My ratings mean:
My rating criteria is the same as the MAL review rating criteria (or what used to be the rating criteria before the categories were removed). So this includes: characters, story/plot, art and animation, sound, and enjoyment. Of course, Enjoyment tends to have a bit more weight since I usually use that to round up or down. I'm also a firm believer that: characters > plot and execution > originality. Because if I don't care for the characters, then I won't care what happens even if it's the best story ever. Likewise, originality will not make something automatically good if the execution sucks.
10 = Outstanding or Unbelievably Awesome, though not perfect. What distinguishes a series as a 10 instead of a 9 is how much value the anime had while and/or after I watched it. Series rated 10 generally holds a special value to me more than series that are rated a 9.
9 = Excellent. They're usually series that either end up as a 9 or 9.5 but I rounded down. These are generally excellent series that are well presented with a good storyline and strong cast of characters, and which I enjoyed watching.
8 = Great. Series that are great but I had a few minor issues with. Any anime that's rated 8 or above is something I liked, has the potential of being a favorite and would recommend.
7 = Good. This is generally what I give series that I enjoyed some to a lot of it, but certain flaws may prevent it from getting an 8. Generally, a series I would recommend with caution.
6 = Decent. Not bad, but not particularly good OR something that had potential (or was enjoyable) but also had glaring flaws. Usually has slightly more good than bad. This is the mode score.
5 = Average/mediocre. Anime that's generic. Or bored me.
4 = Either generic and weak, poor, or had to force myself to finish.
3 = Bad.
2 = Awful.
1 = Shitsux. It doesn't even deserve a description with proper spelling and grammar. No redeeming qualities what-so-ever.

Hello! First of all I'd like to say that your Mononoke review is fantastic. Seeing someone likes it as much as I do is indeed both quite rare and gladdening. Moreover, we have pretty much same tastes on anime as well. It's over 80% with 111 anime, that's a feat very hard to achieve. ^_^
One more thing, If your birthday is on 26th of April, then it's fate that brought us together, lol :)

Nice to meet you! I dislike ecchi too (well, I actually hate it)! To me, the weirdest thing is that I've been seeing a lot of girls who watch ecchi and yuri. Not that I hate them (why would I hate the fans?), it's just weird. -__-

Haha, indeed I did - had to abandon the old account because a lot of drama happened, and it seemed like the only way to stop it was to get a new account. Annoyingly enough, you can't delete accounts, let alone your full MAL lists. So, yeah. Here I am, heh!
