Hana no Namae is one of the best manga I have ever read, if not the best. I say this because I enjoy deeply emotional, down-to-the-soul stories. This is one of those stories. The depth of each character's origin makes me want to characterize my own origin. The simplicity of this story if you take a step back is a bit; well, simple, but when you are reading it, it takes you to another world. It brings you from what you thought was simple to what is now your very being. It makes you question your values.
The characters made you fall in love with them early on, and it didn't take long for me to start shipping (hehe).
I recommended this story to a friend once, because she had nothing to read. To put it simply, she thought it was boring. So, maybe it's just me who finds this story so beautifully constructed. Even if that is true, I still think that it is worth your time to at least get to chapter five if you find it boring early on. Overall, the characterization and the feeling put into the words made me lose my breath, even though the art wasn't stunning. Actually, I rather disliked the art when I started reading it, at first I found the eyelashes and face shape to be a bit strange , but it grew on me. So, if you like testing your mind with breathtaking words I say- go read it now!
