I'm a music student who likes anime and manga. More manga than anime, in fact. I get bored by seeing an anime that doesn't get to the point, so I prefer manga: I don't need to spend so much time with them.
Generally I read manga just in my spare time... but when I really like one, I read a couple of chapter every day. I used to be the otaku that has her life in anime and manga, but I'm a grown up now :P. I have to study and work, so, with the little time I have to read, I like to spend it with good manga. That's it.

Hi Apocaly, I finally checked out Pet Shop of Horrors a few years after you wrote about it on my wall and I loved it! It's one of my all time favorites now! Thanks for mentioning it. :)

Hmm I've never read/watched anything I'd consider a perfect ten. Nine is the highest I've given for both anime/manga here on MAL.

Hi, I came across your profile randomly.
I read your description and we are the same. I used to be an otaku when I was in high school, but now that I am older I dont have the time to sit and watch a whole lot of anime - plus some of the longer series bore me after awhile. I love manga more and I read a lot more of it!

Yeah I give 10's a lot, and I was even think about that the other day, and I think the reason is because I only read manga's that I think I am going to really enjoy. So unless it turns out to absolutely horrible then I try to grade it on how much I wanted to read it and if it met my expectations.
So if it has unique/good art and a great story. That is really what I like.
