My ratings are mostly on how much I enjoyed a series overall. Characterization and good story telling are important to me. Why watch a show where I don't care for the characters? The story could be mediocre, lolololplottwistlololol, or simply told in a very bad or rushed manner, but I'll let it go if the characters are decent enough.

It's really hard for me to drop a series despite how shitty it is, especially if it isn't a 50+ episode series. So I get picky with what I watch.
