The mangaka Fuuga continues providing hentai manga series for fans to look forward to. One of his works that this reviewer turned out to be pretty impressed upon is Mako, a hentai romance series that features two short stories involving teacher-student relationships.
The first short story is titled 'The Frozen Time' and it features a very interesting relationship involving a loose female teacher (Midori Misaki) that doesn't mind drinking and an average male student (Ken Sakai) who doesn't like his teacher all that much from the beginning. The progress of the romance turns out to be typical as you would expect in a hentai, but 'The Frozen Time' was an enjoyable story from beginning to end for this reviewer.
The second short story is titled 'Rooftop Scenery' and this one turned out to be a better story in comparison with 'The Frozen Time'. It involves a similar setting where a male teacher (Kiyoharu Hayashi) and female student (Mako Uehara) are involved in a romantic relationship, but this story carried a bit more development as readers will witness difficult past lives that both main characters had to deal with. From all that has happened in this short story, the relationship between both main characters turned out to be more meaningful.
Most readers that recognize the works of the mangaka Fuuga can expect the dilemma scenario to occur in his stories. This manages to help flesh out the main characters in both short stories of Mako. Besides the dilemma situations that occur in the story, the characters also provide light humor that usually can receive some chuckles to the audience.
The artwork stands out to be fairly good in Mako as well. The character designs are the usual drawings you expect from Fuuga but the detail in the backgrounds provide good visuals to the readers.
As you would expect from Fuuga's works, his stories are worth a look and Mako stands out as no different. Any hentai fan that enjoys a good story should certainly check out this one.

Inner Revolution is an interesting one-shot series that features the relationship of two girls blossoming into a romantic one after spending some time taking shelter from a rain storm. With this series being a one-shot there really isn't a whole lot of development going on that makes it special compare to other romances, however Inner Revolution can still be a type of series that is enjoyable from certain readers.
The story setting is mainly simplistic to follow since it mainly focuses the situation of what happens between two girls. From what occurs in this series, Inner Revolution can be label as a rather cute and sentimental story when it comes to viewing romance.
The view of the artwork is mainly acceptable for readers as it provides decent character and background drawings in this series. However even though the artwork is fine enough to look up at, there really isn't much to gain for the reader in being all that impress about it.
The one part that makes Inner Revolution enjoyable to read is witnessing the character development from the two girls in the story. Readers would often take glimpses of how feelings were express between the two girls as their relationship builds into a cute and romantic one.
In the end even though there isn't a whole lot of development in seeing this one-shot series as special, Inner Revolution is still consider a sweet and cute romance that brings along a satisfying story. If you are a yuri fan, this is one worth having a look. read more

Sister & Brother is yet another hentai incest romance series provided by none other than the mangaka Fuuga himself. Based on knowing the mangaka's name you can expect a hentai series with good results and Sister & Brother was obviously a series that is no different.
The story setting involves a younger brother moving in to live with his older sister. All of a sudden, the older sister becomes a little too attached (especially romantically) to her younger brother which pretty much highlights her obsession in being the perfect caretaker to him. As the story progresses, the development in Sister & Brother was carry out well especially when the reader realizes how a separation effects the two main characters in this one.
The character development turns out to be acceptable as the two main characters fit in what their roles require them to do. With the younger brother being indecisive on wondering if it is right for him to live with his sister, the older sister also shows glimpses on how obsessed she becomes in taking care of her brother. Sister & Brother also features the two main characters from the Teacher & Student series that end up playing their parts in the story as well. This is obviously a development to take notice from the works of Fuuga as this reviewer finds it unique to see it occur in a hentai series.
Seeing how Sister & Brother is a more recent work from Fuuga, the artwork went well in this one. While the character designs are similar, the description of the visuals turned out to be better in this series which mainly helps in both sex and non-sex scenarios.
From all that has happened in this series, it manages to provide a decent ending for the reader. After the story of Sister & Brother, the reader is also provided another short story called "A Gentle Smile" which also turns out to be an enjoying read especially with the comedy it provides. Overall this is a hentai series worth having a look if you don't mind the incest scenario that occurs in this one.

Door of Invitation is a hentai romance comedy series that features two sisters being involved in lover relationships with two male students. Like most hentai series the reader can certainly expect some predictable yet enjoying results as well.
Door of Invitation's main series falls upon three short stories (follow by two predictable incest stories) that contain a rather enjoyable plot scenario. While the reader witnesses how the sisters end up with their new boyfriends, the story eventually brings up a dilemma where the two sisters are faced with arranged marriages set up from their father. Besides the expected romance and sex scenes, Door of Invitation also manages to provide certain amounts of comedy that usually bring chuckles from the audience. It is often interesting to witness how the mangaka Fuuga brings out a little more to the story compare to other hentai works this reviewer has come across.
Visually the artwork is mainly acceptable to the reader even though there really isn't a whole lot of detail coming from the background designs. Some of the closeup views of the sisters in sex scenes did help bring some positive results in the artwork though.
There is also not a whole lot to say about the characters coming from the fact that they are pretty straightforward with their roles. However the one character that brings alot of attention to the reader is Ayu Kurosaki due to her strange personality that is often interesting or funny to witness.
All in all, Door of Invitation stands out as an above average hentai series that contains some good moments and provides a decent ending for the audience. Hentai fans that are looking for a good story may enjoy the results coming out of this one.

Sketch is yet another one-shot romance series that portrays a relationship blossoming into a romantic one between two girls. The one thing that impresses this reviewer quite a bit is how the development was carry out in this story.
The story of Sketch is just as similar to other one-shot series, where a simplistic story is presented to the reader. However with a simplistic story, Sketch was able to carry out its development that did provide a little bit more than what readers usually expect in this romance.
The artwork turned out to be very good in this one-shot as certain panels display appealing visuals to its readers. Along with seeing the cute character designs of the two girls, there is also a fairly good amount of detail that is provided in the background drawings in this series.
The character development also turned out to be very good in this one as the two girls were able to bring out glimpses of fleshing out from their roles. As one girl wasn't really sure on how a relationship between two girls would work out, the other wasn't really sure if a relationship can happen between the two of them. As the development was carry out in the story, the romance that blossums between the two of them highlights how meaningful their relationship becomes to the reader.
Along with the cute romance moments, Sketch also provides a few amounts of light humor to make this a pleasant read for the audience. This reviewer obviously would recommend this one-shot to yuri fans that are interested in reading a cute romance story. read more

The mangaka Yoshitomi Akihito continues to make his progress in creating enjoyable one-shot romance stories. One of his latest and possibly best works that this reviewer has read is Evening Rain Feeling.
Like most one-shot series, Evening Rain Feeling presents a simplistic plot which involves two girls looking for a place to take their relationship to the next level but eventually ends up dealing with a dilemma during the story. However what sets Evening Rain Feeling apart from most one-shot series is that it gives the reader more to think about the plot scenario that happens between the two girls rather than see it as just another simplistic romance story.
Like other Yoshitomi Akihito one-shots, the artwork contains its similar good results where the reader will view the familiar cute character designs in this series. The background drawings also turned out to be good since they are more descriptive in this one.
The characters in this one-shot also manage to bring glimpses of fleshing out from their roles which plays a crucial part in making this series a good story to the reader. Early in the story, the reader is introduce to two girls named Shouko (the girl that hopes the relationship goes up to the next level) and Miho (the calm and collected girl who is taking her time in finding a place). As the story progresses, the reader eventually comes to figure out why Miho was not in such in a rush to commit to Shouko's wish. The dilemma that happens betweens the two girls turns out to be an important lesson for readers as they may deal with a similar situation in a real life relationship.
In the end, Evening Rain Feeling turns out to be a special and enjoyable one-shot romance. While yuri fans will certainly enjoy this series, this reviewer also recommends this one-shot to open-minded readers that are interested in recognizing the dilemma that could happen in a real life relationship. read more

Among the broad selection of H-series, there is rarely one that brings out good quality in its results to the reader. As it stands out, Tonari no Tonari no Oneesan turns out to be one of the few surprises this reviewer has came across despite the ridiculous long length of the title.
The story mainly involves a second-year university student (Teppei) living in an apartment complex where he ends up being a two-timing lover to the girl living next door (Hiragi) and the girl living two doors down (Naruse). While this love-triangle scenario is something most H-fans should be familiar with, Tonari no Tonari no Oneesan manage to provide several good results in both comedy and romance making this H-manga surprisingly entertaining. Along with the entertaining results, there is also the assortment of sex scenes that are added as a bonus to readers.
The artwork manages to bring its share of good results although it does have its drawbacks at certain times. From the beginning of the manga, it may take some time for readers to adjust to the character designs as they tend to be sketchy at times in certain panels. One thing that H-fans may be familiar with Tsuyatsuya's works is his presentation of older women in his stories. Compare to his other works though, the female characters presented in this series appear more young-looking which can help bring an attractive image to readers. The sex scenes visually are mostly good to look up, easy to follow, and provide the use of bodily fluids among its content.
The one area that this reviewer was astounish to know about is how good the character development turn out to be in this H-series. For the three main characters, they are each given a fair amount of character development that helps them label their diversity to the audience. The other benefit in liking about the three main characters is the humor they provide in the series which allows the audience to receive plenty of laughs. The supporting characters also receive a decent amount of development but nothing too special.
Overall, Tonari no Tonari no Oneesan is one quality H-series that this reviewer would recommend to any interested H-fan despite the fact there is an open ending. Unlike other Tsuyatsuya works, the fetishes in this series are less controversial which can work as an benefit to selected readers.

Touch rightfully stands out as one of the best made series that earns the title of classic among anime. From the work of Adachi Mitsuru, he brings out an example of how a simple concept in a sports/romance series can provide great results in execution and writing.
As mentioned earlier, the story of Touch is based on a simple concept that is easy to follow. It is mainly a coming of age story where characters participate in the area of sports (mainly baseball) along with dealing the events that happen in their lives. One thing that Touch truly achieve is how Adachi brought great writing in its story. Because the writing is consider that great, none of the 101 episodes would feel like a bad episode to the viewer. To add with the enjoyment of the story, there are also a few unexpected plot twists that may certainly stun the audience in its results.
It is also hard to believe seeing several characters well-developed in Touch, but ever since completing the series they were truly among that class. The story of Touch features three childhood friends growing up where an older brother (Tatsuya) wants to do nothing, an younger brother (Kazuya) who is a very talented pitcher in baseball, and the cute girl (Minami) who lives next door. Tatsuya brings out a good performance such as providing humor and never falling out of character. This was obviously necessary to the story, especially when it comes to dealing with the shadow of his talented younger brother Kazuya. Minami (who enjoys managing the Meisei baseball team) also deals with situations such as her school popularity, her participation in gymnastics, and deciding who to be with in a romantic relationship.
Some of the supporting characters also manage to bring quite a lot to the story of Touch. One supporting character that has done well in his performance is the baseball catcher Koutarou. Koutarou's performance weighs on how supportive he is with the Meisei baseball team along with having a strong friendship with Kazuya. Another supporting character that brings out a solid performance is Harada who tends to provide advice to Tatsuya in making decisions. There is also the antagonist Kashiwaba Eijiro who ends up being a challenge to the Meisei baseball team in order to achieve his own agenda.
The one major setback viewers may have with Touch is the animation being dated, especially since this was a series made from the 80's. Being a witness of Adachi's works, his character designs are not all that great but they do seem to fit the image of being acceptable in a series such as this one. The background drawings visually were nice enough to look up at in Touch.
The sound department is mainly good in its results but it also has its setbacks from times in Touch. The opening and ending songs feature an assortment of 80's music that are mainly good tunes to listen to. Some examples of good songs would include the gentle music of "Kimi ga Inakereba", the upbeating music of "Che! Che! Che!", and a great song called "Kimi wo Tobashita Gogo" (which this reviewer thought was an appropriate closure song for a long series like Touch). From the scenes of Touch, some bgms manage to fit while other bgms do feel out of place at times. The seiyus also brought great performances with their characters, especially when providing their emotions in certain scenes.
Despite the animation being dated at times, Touch is certainly a sports/romance series that provides great results in both story and characters. For those that are fans of sports/romance genres, Touch is one series that is worth checking out. read more

As a whole, Tytania can be labeled as a classic example on how the concept may look good but the execution can go so wrong in many ways. From what Legend of the Galactic Heroes was able to accomplish as a series, Tytania was clearly inferior in how it presented most of its areas to the audience.
Tytania's setting in the story does bring out a similar setting to Legend of the Galactic Heroes where one huge group controls most of the universe and one individual that comes from a small group becomes the great opponent to them. As mentioned earlier, the concept looks good altogether as the viewer becomes willing in learning about the two sides. Eventually the problems that happen in the storyline begin to surface which highlights how poorly executed Tytania turned out to be.
Certain examples of poor execution within the story of Tytania would include bad direction as some of the episodes felt out of place through most of the series. From the second half, there were a few episodes that made viewers wonder on how they weren't brought up in the early episodes such as the first meeting between Jouslain and Fan Hyulick or the past flashback story that involves Idris. Along with the bad direction in the storyline, there are often lame moments in the storyline such as a uninspired/poorly developed relationship between Fan Hyulick and Lira Florenz.
The characters of Tytania are in a similar situation as the storyline. While the concept of the characters are interesting enough to look up at, the character development becomes an issue in Tytania. As far as character development goes, the cast in Tytania is very large that some hardly get the time to be developed at all. An example of witnessing a character being hardly developed in Tytania would involve someone like Jouslain. In one way, this reviewer takes notice that Jouslain is a likable/interesting character yet it is stunning that he doesn't do anything significant like winning a battle for Tytania. With the character development being an issue in Tytania, it is very easy to realize that most of the characters stood out to be uninspire to the audience.
With the concept of Tytania looking good to the audience, the animation does have its highlights in the series. The character designs provide good distinctions by looks along with the appropriate coloring. While this reviewer is not that big of a fan with CG visuals, they do seem to work alright with the spaceships in Tytania. The sound overall in Tytania is mostly decent in its results. The opening theme song was certainly the best one of the soundtrack since it provides the unique music of a Japanese opera theme while the ending theme song provides a decent rock tune. The bgms through Tytania are mostly music that is very easy to forget about and the seiyu's do seem to fit the voice roles of their characters.
As it stands out, Tytania is no doubt a series that is a huge letdown especially to those in the audience that were expecting great results from the director and original creator that were responsible in Legend of the Galactic Heroes. There is certainly a great difference in what Legend of the Galactic Heroes was able to do that Tytania wasn't able to achieve. Because of the large amount of 110 episodes, LotGH was able to gather the time to develop its storyline and large cast of characters unlike Tytania which only has 26 episodes of room to work with. For Tytania's case, it also may have been an mistake to make an anime adaptation anyway due to the novel remaining to be unfinished. read more

Kanon (2006) is not only one of the better drama harem series, it is also a series that certainly hits this reviewer hard when it comes to tugging emotions. With several characters facing their own dilemmas, viewers will be hit hard with sadden emotions from this series.
In the world of Kanon (2006), the plot presents several story arcs that spotlight each of the main female characters. From the beginning episodes, the viewer is mainly introduced with certain scenes that features each of the main characters. As the plot starts to unfold, the male protaganist Yuuichi Aizawa recovers memories that he hasn't recall from seven years. There are also times during the beginning of new episodes we hear the sayings of a certain female character describing about dreams as viewers take it in as relaxing poetic sayings.
While there may be similar things one may recognize in drama series from anime, the story experience in itself is worthwhile due to the astounishing results the characters present. One way or another, the female characters do bring a 'moe' side to the series but they also become so critical in presenting their dilemmas in the story arcs. The important thing to answer from the plot is do the results bring enough to help one viewer shed tears often? If so, then it would be more than enough for a drama series to become successful in itself. Even though Kanon (2006)'s plot may not be all golden, it surely shines as a silver needs to be. A sad drama fits as what a sad drama is suppose to be with great results and tearjerker moments you cannot avoid.
Ever since Kyoto Animation Studios took part on remaking a series from the original Kanon of 2002, the animation quality was accomplished with great results in the visual department. This was certainly a great move on Kyoto Animation's part to conduct the animation that clearly outshines the original Kanon series. The winter scenes in Kanon (2006) look great and realistic with beautiful snow coming down from the sky, fog coming out of the character's breaths, and the beautiful night scenery that we often see in several episodes of the story. The character designs are also greatly animated with no cut corners, beautiful coloring, and are provided with effective body fluid movements. The personalities of the characters certainly fit their facial looks as well in this series.
Although the animation was well-achieved, the characters were the best accomplishment in this series. Every character (either main or supporting) in this series becomes necessary in the different story arcs and also were fleshed out very well in character development. For the male protaganist, Yuuichi Aizawa is consider a refreshing male lead and a nice change to the usual dorky protaganists we often see in harem-based series. Yuuichi certainly brings a fulfilling role when it comes to displaying both humor and drama moments in Kanon (2006), such as the notable sarcasm he usually brings to the main female characters.
The main female characters are certainly a good cast in this series where each features their own personality trait. There is also the use of monosyllabic tones that brings out a certain charm from several female characters that makes them likable to the audience. Having the main female characters become likable in Kanon (2006) is very crucial to have due to the fact that melodrama often happens in this series. With the sad parts that often happen for each main female character they bring an image that allows the audience to provide feelings of care towards each one.
The sound department does well in most of its areas. The bgm's played in different scenes certainly fit both character and sad themes that take place in the story arcs. The opening and ending theme songs are mainly great tunes that bring a gentle theme to the audience. The voice acting is also done well with quality performances from each of the characters, especially Tomakazu Sugita playing the role of Yuuichi Aizawa.
Overall, Kanon (2006) brings alot of meaningful moments and certainly breaks away from certain harem stereotypes such as the typical fanservice that often gets in the way of storylines. More or less, this is a harem drama series that certainly should be consider a priority watch because of its great achievements in animation, quality story arcs, and great character development. The most important thing to remember is to keep a set of tissues handy, because the sad moments will certainly hit you hard in this series. read more
