I've been on the subbed anime scene since Ishida fought Captain Kurotsuchi (sry for any misspellings) and inexplicably lost his powers. That summer after I returned from a 3 week home stay in Japan, I was first introduced into the true world of anime. Before that time, I was into the usual USA stuff: Sailor Moon, Tenchi, Pokemon, Digimon, and then w/e dvd's i could get from Amazon.com or the mall (That's how I got Orphen, NGE, Slayers Next).
Extra Note: Shows I rate at 10/10 are, more than anything, shows that I would probably recommend to anyone. I just hope what you feel at the end of the ride is as becoming as what I did when I rated the show as such. :)

To be honest I haven't seen "Final Destination", I haven't really enjoyed western horror made after the 1980s so I don't really bother watching any of the newer stuff... TBH I would feel somewhat reluctant to draw a comparison to something I haven't seen, but it hardly would surprise me that "Another" is alike some other horror film(s) since it more or less follows that generic formula to a tee.
I certainly agree that "Another" does provide fan service for people who like horror - but it's not really much more than that. It's a shame because they could have avoided the shortcomings of the story by playing up other aspects (which is what bothers me so much about the lack of character development!).

I'm on chapter 12 and Iv'e decided that I'm not sure what I think about Kimiiro Focus. The art is decent but the story is weak and something is lacking. Doesnt compare to Komo no Jikan or Noizoki Ana. Know what I mean?
