I'm studying to be a translator of Japanese literature. I have an English B.A. & a Japanese B.A.
I'm a shoujo, yaoi and yuri fangirl.
I love other types of literature too: science fiction, mysteries, drama, historical fiction and fantasy.
I read too much.
I also watch a lot of TV like Star Trek, Buffy, Lost, The Big Bang Theory, True Blood, etc.
And I play games (PS3, D&D, PC), though I'm not that good.
I'm a Manga beginner.
I've recently been getting into American comics too.
Basically, I'm a nerd in about a hundred different ways. And proud of it. <3

I don't know, artists alley is pretty large judging from the past few anime expos. Yeah! maybe you'll see 2 Asian guys with glasses walking around with alot of stuff. That'll be us ;)

Hopefully they'll let you have fun while you're working. And i hope they learned from past mistakes haha! Maybe you should stick some of your drawings on someone's table and sell it. Do it all sneaky like and maybe i might buy some of it.

It's not, I chose that moment because this shot let the spectator wondering a lot of things.
And I don't know if you remember but the shot on his face is quite long and happen twice.
Why is he looking at this horrible scene though he is supposed to love Sawa (the heroine)?
Moreover you can't see him blink, is he excited by the scene? Is he disgusted, fascinated? Why does he keep is eyes on the scene the whole time (this shot on his face is done twice).
Morevover the blood flowing from is nose is obviously due to the fight but you know that in Japan it represents sexual excitation, is it done on purpose?
And if he is that angry why does he say nothing?
And one more thing, you know that in this scene the spectatot things that Sawa betray the boy (Oburi) and Oburi is carefully watching so does he know that Sawa is faking the fact that she is betraying him or does he believe that she is actually betraying him?
The realisator did this shot on purpose because it's really long and it raises a lot of questions, and I thought that it was really a great idea.

Wow what a coincidence, I don't even remember how I ended on your profile but we have exactly the same tastes in anime (Kite surprised me, I thought I was the only one to acknowledge its quality, but I think mezzo forte is not as good as Kite) and you live in southern california where I'll have to go for my studies (french student going to san diego state university).
I saw that you liked whisper of the heart,You should watch Omoide Poro Poro and Ocean Waves, both from Ghibli like whisper of the hearth.

Not a problem at all! You told me what I hoped you'd say :) Well if you can get tix from your managers, i'd be more than happy to buy your tix as well as mine (and 2 friends if u could, if not thats cool)! Tried to get them when i registered but they were "sold out" :(
Its your first time!?! well good luck :) Hikaru did the con a few years back, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to tell you about his experience. But if its anything like last year or the year before, be prepared to be sent all over the convention floor! ^_^

I know! Why does Ai Yazawa have to depress us like this? lol I mean I like the realism and everything but I loved George and I wanted them to be together! GRRR >.< and it's like, who the hell is she marrying? We don't even get to see him! I'm going to read the manga and see if the ending is any different or if it explains more...
Love xxxHolic so much! I already sort of know how the series ends... I read a spoiler :( But can't wait to finish it and see for myself!
