SAKUTAROOOOO \o/ !! Omigod, he was soooo cute in episode 19 :3 ! Didn't think he was that big when I played the novel but I guess this size is okay. Rosa did say at one point during the restaurant scene that she had originally wanted it to be quite big, even bigger than Maria. Kind of like a big dakimakura I guess xD. It's going to take some time to get used to Minori Chihara voicing him, since I thought the most logical choice was to make Yui Horie voice him using her shota voice, but then again maybe Deen got tired of reusing the same VA again and again (Krauss for Okonogi, Kyrie for that Sumadera girl, and in the second season, probably another one... tehehe).
Yup, it's really great that they take the time to fully explain to the viewer exactly what's going on or what point such and such wants to make through a certain theory. The anime, errrr... not so much. My sister needed to pause the latest episode every 5 seconds to tell me "I don't get it T___T".
Best part of those QUALITY moments : George always gets disOWNED \o/ ! Aw, poor George, Deen always forgets to put the one-winged eagle crest on his clothes, he doesn't appear in any official scan, and the only chance of him appearing on ANY official material has gone poof since he isn't even on his OWN CHARACTER SONG. Nobody loves poor George, hahaha~ oh wait, he is on the cover of the second DVD box. REJOICE \o/ for you will never appear again *evil laugh*

I didnt know much about the novel when I started reading, so I thought he first episode was rather exciting. It's only selling point is the suspense though, not much re-read value, and if the reader has already seen the anime past the first part or otherwise spoiled themselves it wont work that well.
It's a shame that so many people who are/were interested in the novel spoiled themselves with that crappy anime, makes it hard to get into the novel if they decide to read it.
Yeah, the fantasy scenes were a bit 'wtf', but trusted it all to be explained sooner or later, or the praise the novel is getting from so many readers wouldnt make sense, lol. Beautifully tragic stuff if one can just get over the "what the fook is going on" & "lol at these crappy graphics" quickly enough.
