Hello there :) Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - this past semester of school was a killer! "Lavinia" was a historical fiction story about a girl who is the namesake and her life - it is actually inspired by a minor character from one of the great Greek plays.
As for the volunteer work, I helped chop up vegetables for the food at the local rescue mission - it was hard work, but I was glad to help.
