Here are some cute little tidbits that are perfect in between minisodes for Baka and Test.

What they are, are the slices of life between the slices of life. To show that even during the most normal of times, things can still go off with a bang for Akihisa and his Class F gang!

Perfect for passing some time by, as it uses the same animation style, jokes and all that from the original anime series.

Side stories, if you will...about 2 or 3 minutes each. Each with the charm that Baka and Test has brought us thus far.

It's a mini-series. A spin-off of Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts.

As such, you want to come in expecting just that. The jokes are all there, the animation style is perfect for a mini-series, and it follows the little things here in there from the manga that didn't make the cut of the main anime.

Not much better you can ask out of a spin-off, it does its job, and it does it to perfection.

I'd like to set record straight and give you an honest review. The series, as a whole, first and second season are based, rather LIGHTLY, on the Manga of the same name. Keep that in mind.

Rosario+Vampire is a show that FEEDS off of fan service, harem stereotypes, and it's own unique sense of humor within it's story. Don't expect anything more than that. Take this anime as it is and you have a pretty decent show to watch and pass the time by.

Story: 6
The story isn't like the manga. Not even anime adaptations are anything like the "book" it seems. Rosario+Vampire's story is chopped up ... into pieces for the most part, and each episode is it's own slice of life for Tsukune and the gang. Repetition...often. Less than the first season though. Only in the last few episodes does a real epic story that runs smoothly begin to come together. Lots of fan service, lots of laughs because of how the harem is put together etc. don't expect much more and enjoy it for what it is.

Gonzo, as usual has done a fantastic job animating the show. It's very smooth, and nice to look at (no I'm not talking about the fan service). I've seen better, but Gonzo does a good job at keeping it consistently decent.

Sound: 8
Like I said, Harem, Ecchi, whatever you want to call it, the soundtrack to this show fits it very well. The ever now famous "Churu Churu Paya Paya," is a masterpiece score for some scenes in this anime, along with other songs that really pull the show together and make it's comedy valid. Add that up with amazing OP and ED songs for BOTH seasons by Nana Mizuki, and you have yourself a good anime soundtrack.

Character:6
You have Tsukune, the wimpy lead with a huge heart, you have your moe in Moka, you have your...Tsundere?...I suppose in Inner Moka. Kurumu is your typical flirt, Mizore is the all out stalker, Yukari is your loli, add in some adult themes and BAM generic anime harem right? WRONG. Though I rate it low for extreme lack of character development, the characters take on their own personas for the anime. BECAUSE it's set in a unique monster environment, each character has certain special traits about them. Given they are emphasized more on in the manga, but the anime at least gives you the basics. I can't say I've seen many other ecchis with a Vampire, Succubus, Snow-Woman, and Witchling all after one guy. Tsukune however stands out among the bunch, though he seems like a below average student with good intentions, there's more to him. He genuinely cares for the others, all as friends, and wants to be able to protect them. This is shown frequently in the series that though he is powerless, he's willing to fight, no matter what the cost. Which does lead to some interesting situations.

Enjoyment: 9
I laughed...I laughed. It IS enjoyable for what it is. A harem anime with your typical stereotypes played on well, with your BIG twist of them being monsters, and Tsukune being human. Decent bit of action to sate that hunger, and watching Tsukune progress ever so slightly as a character was cool. Don't come expecting anything more than laughs, fan service, and a few decent romantic/admirable scenes.

Overall: 7
Good anime. Not the best, not terrible. They advertised as an ecchi, they sold an ecchi to the public. You view it as anything else and you'll hate it....but then that'd be your own fault. If you need to pass some time by, and you like the genre, give it a look. One of the best harem animes in a while, here's hoping for a 3rd season with more story and character development than we've seen!

I'm going to go ahead and say it. Baka and Test is DEFINITELY my favorite anime. Tons of colorful characters, comedy, and story.

Season 2 was mostly about character development rather than keeping up with the story, but that's not a bad thing. Some shows don't do character development without terrible terrible filler. Some don't at all!

Story: 10
Season 2 focused more on developing the characters through individual stories than one full story throughout the season, BUT they did it right. Baka and Test Shokanjuu Ni incorporates excellent use of story arcs within it's episodes to keep the audience from that "filler" feeling. From crazy ... beach days, to Minami's backstory, to peeking into girls' bathing rooms, this season took it around and back.

Art: 10
Once again the animation is amazing. It retains that manga feel to it with it's "pop-art" look. The movement of the characters is smooth, and the detailed and whacky expressions of the characters in "extreme" times for them really show us what the animators can do.

Sound: 10
The voice acting in this season (I'm referring to the Japanese voice acting) is greatly improved from the first. It's much more believable and adds a whole lot to the humor. As for the English Dub, it's not set to release until early 2013, but fingers crossed for it to be just as good or better than the fantastic first season. To go along with great voice acting, season 2 adds a whole new soundtrack of music to play through the series, ranging from epic battle themes to soft romantic jingles.

You gotta love it when writers dedicate time to letting the audience know about a show's characters, without giving you a filler feeling. In the first season you got a feel of who the characters were and a general understanding. In this season you get a full on background check on several characters, and their motives to do what they do. As always we have a wonderful variety of characters in personality and looks, always a pleasure to watch.

Enjoyment: 10
YES. If I wasn't entitled to write more for the sake of potential viewers that's all I'd write. Simply yes, I enjoyed it. Take time to understand the systems in the show and what's going on and who the characters are, I admit it can be random, but once you get a feel for who is who and what is what, you'll love the show to no end. (To be honest its really not that hard, but I've known people who don't even try). There's also so many characters in this show, you're bound to relate to one of them and say "Hey that's me!" and put yourself in their world if only for a minute.

WATCH IT. Watch it, enjoy it, and don't read online reviews from critics that don't enjoy a show for what it is, and instead pick it apart by flaws that don't matter in the long run. (Just look at Pokemon -__-)

I don't recommend it if you don't like to laugh. (Ha)

It's a nice blend of action, highschool life, just the right amount of fan-service (nothing over the top), comedy, and more all in its own unique way!

Here's hoping for a 3rd season and more, just get it marketed damn it! :D

It may be that I relate to a near exact match with the protagonist, but all the same this anime takes what critics describe as the "generic foundation" of anime, and turns it into something amazing. It's mature enough for an older audience to enjoy with fan service that's only dirty if you want it to be. While at the same time it can easily keep the attention of a younger audience without giving them the wrong idea. Creative concept, and plenty of content with well developed characters.

The plot is a real fantasy that most schoolkids could die for. Highly recommend to anyone who ... enjoys a hearty laugh and still has a taste for some interesting action.

Not to mention the animation is splendid, with a touch of pop-art. Also, the artists are able to show their true talent when drawing the characters' faces in different styles depending on their mood/situation.

Baka and Test has to be one of my all time favorite animes, and definitely one of the best recent ones I've seen.
