Hey Ai-chan :D
Man it was a long time since I last wrote anything to you... I remember the days when we used to talk a lot together, all 3 of us, me you and John/Werry. Speaking of John, did you have any contact with him since March? Like e-mails or messages from other sites? I have his full name, few addresses, few e-mails and I'm trying to contact him for the last few weeks. Or find a new way to contact him. Do you know what is going on with him? He kinda disappeared which made me worried... For now I'm trying to get in touch with him using the internet, but if that doesn't help I'm thinking about sending a few letters to Bulgaria, maybe with a bit of luck I'll get his family address. That way I could ask even his mother ... Sounds a bit unrealistic huh? :P

Anyway, how are you doing? Anything drastically changed since the last time we talked? :D New home or job? :)

Hey I saw you Tumblr site with the Nisemonogatari GIFs, they were utterly fantastic! I was wondering if you could show me how to make them I would be so grateful! :3

Kana Hanasawa and Miyuki Sawashiro in the same anime?! Count me in! I can't get enough of any one of their voices, but the two together is pure awesomeness. As per your suggestion, I have been watching PsychoPass for the past few days whenever I've had the time and you were right -- it's really good. I am usually warry around anime with these genres, as they rarely turn out as good as I imagine them, or hope them to be. But right after watching the first episode I knew that if the quality didn't drop much, I'd really like it. And so am I. There are some minor details that bother me, but hey, nothing's perfect. The concept of the story is interesting, even if not entirely new. Unless there is an even earlier media, the first time a similar idea was introduced was in Cruze's "Minority Report" movie. There, the agency he works for uses two oracles that predict the future to give them information about future crimes. They extract their visions, review them, then capture the criminals before they have done anything. It's not the same, but similar in the way that both deal with the judging of someone who hasn't yet commited a crime.
Oh, I don't know how far you are, but you should absolutely watch episodes 15&16. As they say, shit just got real.

When you are back, write me a msg, because I have disabled my comments.

Why is it that korean webtoons are so awesome and epic? I really don't get it, but most of stories in those comics are really amazing. Right now I am reading Tower of God and I haven't read anything so epic since Whitebeard's battle with the marines. The story is about a certain tower, although a very big one, with possibly billions or even trillions of habitants. It has a 100 floors and if you get to the last floor, all you have ever desired, money, fame, power --it is all there. Interesting enough, the story does not have a main character. Sure, there is someone around whom the story revolves, but there are just so many characters in the series... it's awesome and they are all awesome. The art at first is a little shaky, but after 30-40 chapters, it get's much, much better.

By the way, how are Gekkou and Molester Man going?

Wow, I had a really weird dream recently. I was with my father, visiting some indian family who in my dream had been our friends for quite some time. We were talking and at some point my father left while I remained. Then some sort of ritual was started, that was supposed to last for two days and it took me a while to realize that they were actually getting me married to their daughter. And I was going along with it! But it occured to me ask why we were doing this and it turned out, that my parents had helped them, giving them some things and they had taken that as a sign that my parents wanted to unite our two families. Calmly, I explained that they were just generous people, that their gesture did not hold any special meaning. With some effort, I managed to convince them to talk with my father first today, then see what tomorrow will bring. I left, saying goodbye to my almost-bride. And to be honest, in the dream I wasn't against marrying her --she was a really sweet girl. The only thing that bothered me was that I didn't know if she liked me at all, or was simply honoring her parents' wishes...
XD When I woke up, I was really surprised. Somehow I connected the dream to a conversation I had had with a friend about marriage and stuff like that. Maybe guys really are scared of it. >_>

Just a short message now, a couple of things I simply had to say.

You might find the first couple of chapters of Molester Man slow, or even tedious because of the amount of text you have to read, especially when they exchange e-mails. But give it time and it will surely hook you. It becomes much more interesting as it progresses, you will see why.

So... I recommended Gekkou to you before, but you didn't even check it out. Now I added it to my favorites and suddenly, you think it's interesting? Heh, actually, I am mad at MAL. I tried to add the novel to the database last year, but they refused me! Read the rules, they said. Something about the novel needing to have a manga relation or something... And now, a couple of months later, someone else adds it and it's no problem! It's discrimination, that's what it is.
It is more than interesting. For me, it is on par with the S&W novels, perhaps even better in some aspects. And quite similar in feel too: focuses on the intereaction between the main characters.

I just finished reading this manga titled "Molester man" and I have to say I am not only pleasantly surprised, but also impressed with it. The story is about a perfectly normal guy, albeit a little of a loser, who one day is mistaken by a woman for a molester, and how their relationship goes on from there. It is hilarious, sad and touching in all the right places and honestly, I haven't read anything as sweet, funny and entertaining in a long while. It is a doujinshi and it reminds a lot of Kurosawa. There are many similar aspects, but I don't want to say anything before you read it. And that fact is not a surprise, considering that the guy who drew the art for Kurosawa also created Molester Man. Well, the story is not his, it is actually based on a real story posted day by day on the 2chan board. But however you look at it, he managed to transorm the words into images and bubbles amazingly well. Of course, there is the possibility that the guy posting on 2chan was making it all up, but you know what? I don't care. The story is so good, that while being real might add appeal to it, being fictious certainly doesn't detract any. If you care about rankings it is 7th on MAL and 8th on baka-updates. In other words, you should consider reading it as soon as you get some free time. I didn't disappoint you when I recommended you Kurosawa and I am certain I won't disappoint you with this one.

That said, because it was weighting heavily on my mind, HELLO! Happy holidays! Even if considerably belated... It's certainly been a while... What can I say, I am sorry for not writing anything in so long. I took up studying again, for the fourth time in fact, but this time I think I might stick to it. So far I have tried different ... specialities, but none really interested me, so I quit after less than a year (the longest). As I am trying to save time and not study for full five years (seems way too long to me), I am taking two years in one. But because of the annoying laws, I can't shorten my time at the Uni more than by two years. So I have to take 1st and 2nd in the first year, 3rd and 4th in the second and the 5th in the third. But the point is that in order to take the exams for a full years of lectures in just five months, it takes a bit of studying even if you have never had trouble with it. Add to that the fact that I am still living by myself, which means expenses and consequently having a job, and lately I have been zombed out.

So how are you? How are things going? Anything interesting happened during the holidays? Nothing on my part. Still here in Spain, studying. My sister came to visit (really, did I grow as fast when I was her age?) for new year's for a week and it was nice. I also made a short trip to a different city, but other than that I haven't moved from where I am, excluding another changing of appartment. And frankly, I am getting bored...

There is also this other realy good manga, web comic actually, that I recently read, but I won't overload you --for now just read Chikan Otoko. In case you want to check it out, it's called Annarasumanara.

What else... Well, for now I have to go, work's calling, but I am going to be around. Promise. So write me something too. And if you have any good anime or manga for me, don't waste time in telling me.

You alive? :O Oh and uh... Late Merry Christmas? How are you, how are things going? Man, when was the last time we wrote anything, a year? I kinda miss those conversations D:

Where were you? I was so lonely... Jacub is still suffering from a post-vacational sickness, you gone... What was I supposed to do?!

For some reason you can't see my manga history, but if you could, you'd notice that lately I have been in a yuri mood, having read several such manga. Strawberry Panic (nothing special really, though that may be because it was suspended; the original light novel is at least a couple of volumes, I think), Tokimeki Mononoke Jogakkou (it's a short gag story about a girl that by chance goes to the yokai world, to an all girls school), Sasameki Koto (the manga is definitely better than the anime; I acually enjoyed it a lot, despite all the dragging on) and Haru yo Koi (which is more a love polygon romance manga or something that has yuri, than a yuri centered one). Now I am looking for new material.

Oh, and I read this short (1 volume) manga called "Calling You". It is about a girl that does not own a cell phone and starts imagining one in her head. Then one day, the cell rings and she connects through with another person. Very bittersweet, mind you.

Aquarion Evol gets even more ridiculous as it goes on. And the ending will bring you no satisfaction whatsoever. No, rather it will be negative. If we use Jacub's happiness units measurement system, in which the ending of Kurosawa gives you a 1000 happiness units, then the ending of Evol would be like this: the part of the ending that concerns the rest of the characters, excluding the four mains, would give you about a 120hp (happiness units, not hit points). On the other hand, regarding the main characters, it will actually take away about 800 of your hp. So in the end, you are left with -680hp, which simply said sucks. So I don't know if you shouldn't watch it, you'd want to know how the story goes eventually, but know that you won't like it. I don't even care I am giving you spoilers...

P.S. Make sure yo check out the two novels in my profile, though I know you don't like reading much. They are really good.

Ah, yesterday, no, that's already a few days ago, I saw this really cute girl. Probably two or at most three years old, she had long curly hair so light blond that it was almost white. So cute~~ and anyway, that reminded of last year when I was on Gibraltar, up on the Rock. Did I ever tell you about the triplets I met there? Well, I can't remember, so I will just tell you (again). The first thing I noticed was a young girl, 6-7, with blond hair and really pale skin. Thinking nothing of it, I continued on my way when I noticed another girl with the same hair close to her. It took me a few seconds to realize why they looked so similar. And right after that the third one got out of the van. They were dressed in the same clothes and were a picture to behold... The language I heard them talk in was certainly German, so I assumed they were from there, though there are a couple of other countries that speak German. So, having looked creepy enough staring at them for a while, I went to leave, but another one appeared out of somewhere. A little older, one or two years, but with the same hair and features. Seriously, such a cute sight... They were practically the attraction of the place at that moment. XD

I am sorry I haven't been writing much lately, but as I haven't watched anime, I don't have much to say.

You should definitely watch this, it is incredibly cute and funny. I never thought to search before for something similar and in fact, I happened upon it by chance. But I had forgotten how adorable Hana-chan is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4z4O_NGHlI

Lately I have taken to reading some light novels at night. Who woudda thought that the author for Accel World and SAO was the same? SAO was apaprently started in 2003 as a web novel and was only published in 2008 along with Accel, after the latter won the Bungaku award.
Hahaha, now that I remember, the Hanagai one is hilarious. If you laughed watching the anime, then you will surely laugh reading the novel. Even though there aren't any visuals, for some reason it made me laugh even more. I don't remember ever laughing so much and for so long. Almost 7 volumes that are translated did I read and it still makes me laugh out loud... It is just so ridiculous... XD The whole setup, the characters, all of which are weird, not one is every remotely close to the "normal" parameter. And of course, Kodaka has one of the biggest harems ever. On last count it numbered... Wait, let's count. Sena, Yozora, Yukimura, Rika, Kobato, Maria, Kena... I think that's it. So, seven, eh? The guy sure is lucky. And all of them beautiful... So, I heard there is going to be a second season, right? If it follows the same way, it should cover volumes 3 and 4. Unfortunately, if the third season covers volumes 5 and 6 (if there is one), we won't get to see the fiance until season 4...

OPPA GANGNAM STYLE!

Oh well, I'll wait, you should feel lucky I didn't write the same amount of text (literally wall of text) I did to John, that guy will have to find quite some time to read and reply at least to half of it ;p
Sword art online today or maybe tomorrow. I need to download it first, and right now I was re-reading Onani Master Kurosawa and I'm gonna read the short novel that is a continuation of it. I think it mainly focuses on the relationship between Sugawa (that girl he asked for a date in the last chapter) and Kurosawa so it might be a pleasant surprise.. At least I hope so. This mangaka is one of the few that have the balls (have you heard my theory about what is the difference between a good mangaka and a bad one?) to make a nice ending and also have the balls to make a twist in the plot that nobody expects.
For the past few days I've read so many manga series and it's astonishing how few of them were at least half good. Japs do know how to make endless shounen series but fail to make good romance stories. I mean of course not all of them but like 80-90% of them have no idea how to properly end a manga. Some just leave it in a state that makes everybody confused whether the story has ended or just halted. Some make endings so rushed that for a minute you think you have skipped a few chapters. But the best trolls are those that end a romance manga with no romance in it xD Like NHK for example. Perfect trolls lol.
Well that was the main reason why I had that yuri/shoujo-ai month a year ago. It was because every story I would pick up, every one of them would have a conclusive ending and that was sweet. Too bad there are not many long shoujo-ai/yuri mangas that at least have more than 5 chapters, but it still was fun. Ach this reminds me of Shoujo Sect.... Damn that was a good manga, good story, and a superb ending.

Oh well, better stop right now or I'll write too much again. So I guess, see you soon? ;p

werrston | 08-27-12, 12:40 AM
So, I read the first volume of the SAO novel and did some research on the rest and I finally figured things out a bit. I am not going to o ffer any spoilers past episode 6 of the anime, so don't worry. I will only tell you two good things. The anime will have a sequel, surely, but the first season will also have a conclusive ending. For me, those are two very good things. By the way, you should definitely watch episode 7, it's really good. Unfortunately, the term "friend-zoned" will without doubt come to mind when you watch it. And that's no spoiler, we all know Asuna is "the one".

Of course you should watch the anime, read the novel and the manga if possible. The 10th volume of the novels was translated a while ago. I just read it yesterday... Ah, I had forgotten how much I love Holo~~
