2012 has finished already and I'm glad it has, since it was quite challengeable in lots of aspects. Hope 2013 is going to be fine for all of us. :D

This is someone who auditioned for X Factor and she wrote this song herself which I think is amazing! I think the lyrics are beautiful too :D Her name is Ella Henderson >.< she's really amazing!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this piece for the first time when hearing it ... For some reason it sounded so nostalgic and it was so calming and beautiful... I think you may have heard of it :D it's quite famous :)

It's been too long my friend, and I must apologize for the late message. I'm in the middle of exams at the moment so I've been a bit distracted lately.

Herzog's films have always fascinated me, I'd definitely write up on some them sometime if I have the time and energy for it. Have you seen Aguirre yet? That's often labelled his quintessential work. I lean a bit towards Grizzly Man myself, but that's a superb film nevertheless. I find that you can pick anything out of his filmography and be guaranteed to see something new and fascinating, and the fact that he can achieve this through documentary filmmaking makes it all the more interesting.

Tree of Life eh? That's another film I've planned to watch for ages (at least as long as it's been out anyway) but never seemed to get to. Thanks for reminding me of it though, I think it's a good time to watch if with my big break coming up. I recall Roger Ebert's review of that one being especially interesting. Have you seen any of that directors other films? I understand that they're all supposed to be excellent but I've never seen any of them.

If I recall correctly, he's also the same director that got Herzog to cook and eat his shoe on camera, which is an amusing tale if you want to look it up.

As for more artists, have you come across Andrei Tarkovsky? I cannot remember if he's come up before in our talks, but either way he's a big name to mention. I've only seen Stalker myself, but that alone convinced me of his mastery. Superb cinematography and atmosphere, and a subtle but excellent story. Pacing was perfect, despite how slow it is, and accents all the film's qualities to their fullest potential. Solaris seems to be more famous, though I haven't watched it, so that's also a good choice.

Otherwise, I stumbled upon a French director named Bresson, who seems very interesting. I've never explored his works before but his reputation seems to speak for itself. Definitely a good artist to look into as well.
