Weak. Just weak. You have a blonde gyaru with a funny accent, that should already be a massive win, so I don't understand how it's possible to mess this up this badly, but here it is.
The whole show is like a broken record. Guy meets up with gyaru, they eat something, "UMAAAAAAAAA~~!", guy gets embarrassed, the end. This is every single episode of this show. If you ever had the feeling anime (especially slice of life) is running off of a template, this will amplify that feeling 10x, except the template is only 1 page long.

I saw one meme with the pink hair girl from this anime and decided to watch it just because of that, thinking it would be some silly funny anime. BOY was I wrong. It's on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, a tragedy/tragicomedy. Wasted potential, is all I can say. If only this anime was more accurate, like the one about lifting at the gym. Instead it's so inaccurate that even people who don't know shit about skateboarding can tell that the stuff happening here is just plain retarded. It's throwing the whole appeal of a sports anime right out the window.

So I've stuck with this to the end. You know, it's kind of amazing to see an obvious dumpster fire eventually become something just barely decent. Nagumo's ruthlessness kinda saved this anime, because it's pretty bad in every other aspect. Watching him put a bullet into anyone's head he doesn't like without hesitation, after they're helpless on the ground is surprisingly satisfying. The rest of the characters is either a pathetic carbon copy from Konosuba, or just straight up annoying (I swear I'm going to bury the blue bunny girl alive one day). The animation is amazing, the soundtrack is awesome, but if the story is not interesting enough, it sadly won't matter.
After the first couple of episodes, honest to god, there were some where I legit just fell asleep in the middle of it, or I kept skipping through scenes and watched entire episodes that way. I was bored out of my skull. Fairies are basically this anime's version of weaponized Jojo stands. It's kind of unique. Kenja no Mago done wrong. I'd end the review here, because I don't think it gets more accurate than this, but this is MAL..
EP 1 was actually off to a good start, but it falls apart so quickly right after that in every aspect. The story already smells sweaty because it's isekai, but then you get blatantly stupid mid-fight plot power-ups and forced drama, followed by a very weak harem and villains who pretend to have a grand masterplan, but actually don't seem to know themselves what they're doing. Animation is as cheap as it gets. Sometimes you get an elementalist mage trying to be smart ...

I see everyone is trashing this one real hard, but tbh its only fault is that it came late to the isekai party. Yes, it's rather run of the mill and "safe", but that doesn't make it bad. It's still very much enjoyable. Objectively speaking, the only area where it's truly lacking is the animation. At times it's very easy to tell that this one didn't get a big budget.
Without spoiling much, a former chemistry/physics professor becomes an archmage in a world where magic mostly abides the rule of physics - this right here is the key part which makes it somewhat captivating. It's just ...

There's nothing else to say, really. It starts out as a comedy-drama and then becomes your typical overly dramatic drama, where every dramatic situation is a result of completely forced and illogical stupidity. Most dramas have this problem, where drama is created for the sake of creating drama, not because it makes sense. Tsundere dragon and hyper-lesbian princess trying to be cute in what is mostly a slideshow as far as animation goes and lots of "almost-moaning", because it's not like the 2 main character will ever say a single complete sentence to each other. In fact, you will likely never hear them say anything other than each others name with shiny, shy eyes.
